Located up a hill from bus station so can be tiring with large suitcases but pleasant stay overall
No elevator for going upstairs with suitcases
Clean and quiet
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
The location and the perfect lodging for the small onsen town. Also it meets my expectations where I wasn't looking for a ryokan but just sufficient for me to stay and relax.
Rooms are big for the 3 of us, and we even have 1 free pass to the nearby onsen.
Great traditional lodging with a very nice modern room in the middle of Arima Onsen. Small shops and restaurants at the doorstep. Super friendly staff giving great tips for the stay. Perfect japanese breakfast.
If you walk from Arima Onsen station, it is a bit up the hill.
