The host and his family are really kind and helping to show you around. Learned a lot about Buddhism as well which was really nice, it’s a really nice experience and you can really see the local life there. Not a lot of tourism.

I cycled up to the Silver Hill Ecovillage and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Prosanna is a hospitable and engaging host. He kindly lent me his binoculars for some amazing birdwatching. The immediate views from the rooms and terrace are spectacular. His staff are very kindly attentive and prepared some wonderfully healthy home cooked food using locally grown produce. I was impressed with the outstanding scenery and unique location of the Silver Hill Ecovillage. I am so pleased and privileged to have had the chance to stay at this tranquil and mellow

A really great place to stay with gorgeous views, comfy space, really good facilities (including a washing machine). Lovely pool. It was a great place to stay with 3 young kids.
The host family were amazing and super hospitable and very kind at helping us book transport for journey to and from the property, helping with food and any query and dropping us into Kandy.
Really kind people and lovely quiet spot. It’s a bit out of the way, but also that it’s utter charm. And easy to get Tuktuk/car there from the city.

I had an absolutely amazing experience here. The owner helped me on my way to Teldeniya from there I took a Tuktuk up in the hills.
Solitary Cottage offers all you need: a quiet natural experience, birds and the sound of the wind. I managed to do some good hiking around without the need of a guide. The bungalow is well equipped and offers and fully equipped kitchen! Wifi works great.
Make sure you order your food through the accommodation, it was close to the best authentic Sri Lankan food I ever tasted during my travels in Sri Lanka.

The place is very clean, great shower pressure and hot water. The rooms face a courtyard garden which is well kept and relaxing. The family that runs the place are lovely and will provide suggestions on what to do. Bonus, they have an adorable boxer dog.
It’s about 15 minute walk from the accommodation to the temple of the sacred tooth and town. So we walked everywhere rather than using a Tuk Tuk.
We recommended this place to others on our way around Sri Lanka and would go back again ourselves.

The rooms were also nicely arranged and had everything we needed. The bathroom was well-maintained and clean. Overall, it was the best stay we've ever had.
