Best homestay I’ve stayed in during my 3 months of SE Asia travel. Location was ideal, activities were unbelievable, and the most hospitable hosts imaginable. I will be telling all of my fellow travelers to stay here for a long time to come. Make sure to book their safari. We were lucky enough to have a leopard walk 10ft in front of us and watch a baby elephant and its mom. Although, it still would have been beautiful without seeing any animals.
The host mother made us the best curry spread we will probably ever eat for as long as we live.
With pool views, Tranquil Wild is located in Tanamalwila and has a restaurant, room service, snack bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace.

The staff is wonderful. During our entire trip through Sri Lanka we haven't met any nicer people than here. Moreover, the food they offer you will not only fulfill your taste buds, it will also fill you for days to come. Lastly, they are in a brilliant location to provide safaris to Yala and are great at finding animals and explaining around the whole ecosystem.
Located in Kataragama in the Monaragala District region, with Kataragama Temple nearby, Wadula Safari - Yala has accommodations with free WiFi and free private parking.

It's like a safari - in the middle of the jungle, surrounded by wild animals. Magical at night and at day.
Not possible to reach by normal cars, but the staff kindly picks up on the main road by a 4x4 Toyota Hilux and drives about 15 minutes to the bungalow free of charge.
The staff was very kind and helpful, prepared a nice dinner and breakfast for us. Free wiifi available at the restaurant.
Our family with kids would be very happy to come again

Glimra eco lodge offers accommodations in Hambegamuwa, 31 miles from Buduruwagala Temple. Located 24 miles from Udawalawe National Park, the property provides a garden and free private parking.
Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Big comfortable double room. Loved the pool. I didn’t realise it was so close to the entrance to block 6 of Yala National Park and that the property had a young man studying the natural environment who would have guided us through the wildlife, birds and vegetation of Yala. We had already booked a safari going in at block 1 which proved to be very busy,
All the Team is extremely kindly especially Ruvi , thanks Ruvi and all the team for your generous kindness
Location was perfect for the Safari
I really recommend this hotel
Incredible staff went above and beyond to look after us and arrange a safari at Yala for us. Clean and air conditioned rooms. Anything we asked for the staff happily brought us. Excellent. Food was incredible. Authentic and flavorful.
Lovely small family run hotel set in nature, 5 minutes drive outside Yala National park. Friendly and helpful staff. Helped us organise transport and safari. Nice restaurant with good breakfast and dinner options. Staff even prepared us a breakfast box to take with us as we left early on our last day. Nice rooms with AC and pool.
The host/owner, Anne, takes care of every single person or group that books the accommodation. Her English is great. Best English speaker we met in Sri Lanka.
The rooms are comfortable with a lot of attention to detail.
We did a safari tour and a boat ride, both organized by Anne on the day of arrival. All worked out very pleasantly and smoothly. Would recommend this stay!
I had the best and tastiest srilankan food here. Anne is an amazing host, she took care of us and prepared snacks for our safari trip. She also arranged the safari for us and a boat tour but unfortunately it was raining. We can see alot of birds and wild animals around too.
Tranquil Wild is perfectly located to explore the quieter side of Yala National Park. We had an amazing bird watching safari and saw around 40 local species in one afternoon. Ann, the owner, is on hand and was really warm and friendly. The food was humble, delicious and perfect for the setting. The rooms are really spacious and well appointed. We loved our stay and will be back.
The lodge is a stone throw away from the entrance to the National Park. It is located next to a pretty lake with plenty of birds, monkeys and buffalo herds. Of course we did a safari with an excellent nature guide, seeing an abundance of bird species, plenty of elephants, monkeys, deer and crocodiles. We also made pleasant walks along the lake and through the woods and countryside past the lake. It has a refreshing swimming pool.
