On the east coast of Nosy-Be, Manga Soa Lodge is located in the middle of a tropical garden and offers a panoramic view of the Indian Ocean.

The hotel itself (the rooms, the restaurant and bar area and the pool) is great, very stylish. Our room was big and private, and had an amazing view of the sea. It was decorated with wood and was very cosy. Surprisingly for Madagascar the shower had hot water and good pressure, which is surprising for the country. The restaurant was by the pool and there’s a good selection of drinks and cocktails. The masseuse was amazing and my massage was in a tent overlooking the sea.

Featuring a garden and sun terrace, Sangany Lodge offers detached bungalows on the beach in the north of Nosy-Be Island.

The grounds are exceptionally clean and beautiful. The staff at Sangany are some of the loveliest people we met on our entire trip to Madagascar. The rooms are large and comfortable. Overall a fantastic experience.

Villa Valiha is beautifully located on the beach side. Its decor in local arts and crafts made it look very special. The host and staff are very friendly.

Looking for a lodge?

Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
