A hidden gem in unspoiled nature, remote at its best. Food was extraordinary and the staff very warm and friendly. Wonderful lonely beach. We also liked the village walk, where we were able to learn more about the local life and see the community projects.

Vertigo Lodge is an oasis in the middle of Tofo. It is a well-curated, clean, spacious place with great attention to detail. Situated in a quiet area away from the noise of town, it is the perfect place to switch off and relax, yet close to the beach and the main attractions. The owners, Colleen and Jumbo, ensured we were well looked after, and the attentive and caring staff made our stay unforgettable. It's a special place I'm sure I'll visit again-highly recommended! Tip: Ask for Pedro for your transfers and trips to and from the beach/town. He's great!

    Everything was perfect here. The staff were fully committed to providing us with the best experience ever. The lodges are very comfortable, facing Sunrise The food is just amazing. Congratulations to the cooker. Thank you, especially to Essie and Tk, the two property dogs who made our stay even more special. I never knew dogs like these ones.

    Mafu Haus has a magnificent view of Inhambane Bay with the most splendid sunsets from across the bay. The vegetarian meals and breakfasts were marvellous and incredibly tasty. This ecolodge nurtures and protects the environment and rejuvenates 10 hectors of local woodlands. We were able to relax in very comfortable surroundings and enjoy Mozambique's natural beauty. As an added bonus Tofo beaches are only a few minutes drive away. Mafu Haus is an exotic "green" gem.
