Perfect location right near the park and a fuel station. Staff mixed, but mostly friendly and accommodating. Tents are great and very comfortable. Spacious. Loved having a small fridge to keep our drinks cold. Breakfast buffet good. Dinner was an excellent outdoor event with great cooked to order options. Loved that the meat was not pre-cooked. They even had a stir fry station cooked to order. Lots of options. It was excellent. Lunch buffet, however, was sub-standard. Pre-cooked, tough meat. Limited options, I think because most guests are out on tours. Tour bookings on site. We did the Sossusvlei/Deadvlei tour in the park in the morning (great tour) and advised us we could get a copy of our park entry so we could self-drive in there in the afternoon without paying the entry fee again (just the N500 vehicle fee). Sunset tour onsite also very nice with lovely snacks and drinks in a beautiful spot.
Le Mirage Resort & Spa is a unique desert oasis located 100 km from Solitaire, Namibia. It offers luxury accommodation and gourmet dining.

- The tours, especially the ATV one is excellent and a must-do! Abraham was much of a help!
- The sundowner has a great view. The cocktails are also top-tier.
- Hospitality was great and up to standards.
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Great Namibian experience. Excellent staff including enthusiastic guides (Paulus was great).
Taste of food (especially the meat) just better than what you get at home.
It is a 20 min drive to the park entrance.
With 12 lodges there is a sense of calmness and personal touch.
Day in Sossusvlei was well set up with surprising lunch.
+ One of the few lodges inside the Sessriem gates, allowing sunset on Elim Dune, and sunrise on Dune 45.
+ Good buffet breakfast and diner, both quality and quantity. Lunch ok.
+ Good views with Orix close to chalets, and Ostriches visible.
Very nice rooms, friendly service, great location near the park entrance. The dinner buffet was very good (a lot of delicious salads, good choice, meats freshly barbecued). It was quite cold at dinner when we were there in July (unlike many other lodges, there is no roof over the open seating area) but the beautiful views (and blankets provided) still made it worthwhile to be outside. We really enjoyed it here.
Rich and tasty breakfast and dinner. Remote location and friendly personnel. Beautiful and large lodges decorated with great taste. We could observe oryxes walking in the area from the balcony. The pool area paired with light cocktails from the bar was the best for after lunch chill.
We stayed at 6 different lodges and my family liked this lodge the best. Great experience to see Rhinos, zebras, wildebeest while sitting at the balcony. Very well maintained and the best place to see the stars. Cannot be missed.
Beautiful location and very nice lodges. Very friendly staff and delicious food.
Especially our guide Lucas was great, he knew a lot about history Namibia and about life in the desert, for example he found a very small hole in the sand and that seemed to be a white spider house. Also his lunches and sundowner were very special. We will remember this as "Lucas's restaurant".
We can recommend this lodge 100%.
It is a rather unique structure with interesting rooms. The meals were a level above what we had experienced in other lodges. The waitress who served us was so friendly and obliging
