Ecolodge Luna del Rio is located in the city center of El Castillo de La Concepción, 3.1 mi from Indio Maíz Nature Reserve. It features free breakfast, a garden and a bar.

We loved our stay at this beautiful hotel in El Castillo. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with eco-friendly cabins that made us feel connected to nature. The owners were incredibly kind and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. They also offered us a tour to the Indio Maíz Natural Reserve, which was an amazing experience that allowed us to appreciate the area’s natural beauty and richness. You can truly feel their love and respect for nature, which makes this place even more special. We loved it so much that we decided to stay an extra night to continue enjoying the peace and charm of this place. We highly recommend it and hope to return soon!

Make sure to ask for tour guide Orlando to do with you all activities at the lodge! He is a local guide with great experience. The property of the host is an absolute unique area in the widlife refuge of Indio Maiz; the lodge is very beautiful and in good shape. We also received a free upgrade to a bigger cabin. The personell is very friendly and helpful.

Excellent location on the water in a traditional wooden house, the family who own the property were lovely, very knowledgeable and helpful throughout our stay. it’s great if you’re looking for a comfortable cheap stay in something different to a big standard hotel as the house is full of character.
