Beautiful place and facilities. The beds were supercomfy. We all loved the hot tub under the stars! It was so good to have an exceptional place that let us have our dog with us. We will definitely be back.

The best accommodation that we stayed in and a lovely luxurious end to our 4 week road trip in NZ, very well located between Queenstown and Arrowtown with a great view down to the river from the lookout in the garden The suite was very spacious with high quality furnishings and a most comfortable large bed. Juliet and David made us extremely welcome and the homemade breakfast was perfect. Booking the outdoor hot tub late in the evening with a glass of wine looking up at the stars is highly recommended! We're hoping to go back to beautiful NZ again next year and if we stay anywhere in this area we will have no hesitation booking ourselves into Moonlight Escape Lodge again.

Very conveniently located to the heart of Queenstown but still peaceful; a few minutes' walk to downtown and across the road from the lovely public gardens.
Deluxe twin was a basic room but spacious and clean (including the bathroom which also had a heated floor; nice touch) and we stayed in this same room on two separate nights within the week. Small useable balcony was also lovely to have. Handy to be able to leave luggage for later pickup.
Dislikes: more about our neighbouring room guests than the accommodation perhaps, but better sound-proofing may lessen disturbance when they decide to clomp around and use hairdryers etc at a time when most people are turning in for the night.

Although aimed at budget travelers the inn is furnished to a high standard with a spacious and well-equipped kitchen. The provision of bathrooms is adequate for the number of guests and they are clean. As important, the fire safety provision is the best I've seen in the country.
Offering a variety of budget accommodation, including dormitory rooms, double/twin rooms, deluxe rooms with private bathrooms and self-contained family cabins, Pinewood Lodge is just a 7-minute walk...

Parking was good. Friendly staff. Not busy. The showers and toilets were always free ro use
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Very spacious room (half of a lodge), great views on vineyard or garden, complimentary wine testing with a passionate and knowledgeable expert. it was nice to have an option of an in-room dinner after the bistro was closed - we had some gourmet pizza with our wine :) it was nice to observe birds and rabbits playing around at the property.
