Set on 1.5 acres of tropical gardens, lawns and native trees, Tatahi Lodge is located in the lovely seaside village of Hahei. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV and outdoor furniture.

The location to the beach, shops and restaurant/cafe was excellent. The guest laundry was fine, and items to borrow for the beach was a lovely idea, we borrowed beach chairs. Beach towels were provided, and the bathroom towels were beautiful white fluffies. However there are many issues with the chalet that we stayed in, mainly due to it’s age and the lack of investment to keep standards as high as we have experienced around New Zealand for accommodation of similar type. The owner was very pleasant, and most apologetic when we made him aware of some of the problems.

Featuring a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a garden, and a terrace, WoodyHanger Lodge provides accommodation in Whitianga with free WiFi and sea views.

We loved staying in the spacious private studio, which had everything we needed. It was wonderful to receive a delicious breakfast each morning and Warren and Carol were great at helping us plan our days out for walking and nearby beaches. We also enjoyed relaxing in our private garden, enjoying the spectacular views.

Featuring garden views, Wairua Lodge - Rainforest River Retreat in Whitianga features accommodation, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace, water sports facilities and barbecue facilities.

An absolutely wonderful place to stay. We wish we'd had longer to enjoy the lodge more as well as see the area. Hosts couldn't do enough to make the stay as relaxing and memorable as possible. We would certainly put it top of our list for a return trip. Highly recommended.

Hahei is a wonder, and Tatahi Lodge Beach Resort is the perfect place to stay during your time there. The staff is accessible and kind—going above and beyond to make your stay pleasant! The room “comes with” a shovel for Hot Water Beach, and beach towels. The studio has a lovely window sitting area, private backyard space, incredibly comfortable bed, and (random) a really neat wooden counter top. Everything was clean and well cared for. I extended my stay, I enjoyed it so much!

Ponga eco-lodge was a lovely escape for myself and my partner. It was lovely to have the e-bikes to explore hahei. Beautifully set in the hills and to be able to relax in the spa to watch the sunset.

A gorgeous little lodge-style backpackers with cleverly designed wings and cottage accommodation. Everyone felt like they had their own space and the kitchen was a great size. The bathroom arrangement was perfect, and with separate toilets and showers close by. The pub next door was very quiet considering it was peak holiday season. Lovely garden for eating outdoors.

Have stayed 5 times now at this lodge. No milk on arrival in fridge which previous owners usually did. Otherwise good accommodation still.

The staff were courteous and accommodating to our requests. We planned a kayak trip at Cathedral Cove, the location was close to the beach and walkable to the Cove and restaurants. Highly recommend the lodge if visiting Cathedral Cove.
