United StatesThis was like a five star hotel with an even better view!! Such a lovely property! Tom and Jo were wonderful hosts! Tom even made dinner reservations both nights for us at awesome restaurants nearby. The rooms are beautifully appointed with great bed linens and wonderful large, fluffy bath towels. The view from the room was of Cook’s Bay and it was stunning! We were treated to freshly cooked breakfast each morning where we had the opportunity to meet other fellow travelers. We would highly recommend Mercury Ridge ti anyone traveling in the area. It is a gem for sure!

United StatesGreat space, amazing location and views over Whitianga and the harbor. Continental breakfast and espresso in the morning was perfect! Comfy bed, jet tub was great, and hosts were super nice. Would recommend to everybody!!

The staff is accessible and kind—going above and beyond to make your stay pleasant! The room “comes with” a shovel for Hot Water Beach, and beach towels. The studio has a lovely window sitting area, private backyard space, incredibly comfortable bed, and (random) a really neat wooden counter top. Everything was clean and well cared for. Everyone felt like they had their own space and the kitchen was a great size. The bathroom arrangement was perfect, and with separate toilets and showers close by.
