Providing garden views, Ranginui Retreat in Masterton provides accommodations, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace and a restaurant.

All the personal touches made our stay perfect. Like our very warm welcome which includes their furry hosts, Coco and Biscuit. chocolates on the pillow, fresh fruit in our room, flowers from the garden, the furnishings, a comfy bed, the views, detailed information on what the Wairarapa has to offer, beautiful soaps and lotions in the bathroom, very cool shower caps, a guided garden tour, and use of the pool. We loved that they grow some of their own produce BUT, WOW, what a chef Suzie is and what a gentleman of a host Rob is! The house and our room were stunning, Rob and Suzie are incredibly generous hosts with a genuine heart to make your stay very special. Blessings from Clinton & Rachel

    Beautiful bedroom and beautiful entrance that leads to the house. Very expansive lodging wit an open space. It has a classic colonial architectural style with African decor. The shower was very powerful and we enjoyed the 🛁.

    Grand, spacious rooms named after famous NZ racehorses. Very comfortable beds and modern, well-appointed bathrooms. Room was wonderfully quiet and felt very secure. Common areas are currently under renovation and look like they will have an amazing almost country lodge feel. We travel to Masterton regularly to visit family and Gateway probably has the best rooms available in town. Most of the owners(?)/managers/staff were amazingly friendly and helpful.

    Great location close to town with plenty of restaurants close by. Room was clean and comfortable with everything needed. Staff at the motor lodge were genuinely friendly and happy to provide local knowledge on the near by places.
