But it also had the best coffee I’ve managed to find since we started travelling from Auckland. The spar bath was just brilliant. Had a few such spar baths over the previous 3 weeks and this was hands down the best. Parking was good. Distance to centre and shops was a short walk. Staff were great. Very much worth staying here. We stayed in the largest unit that had a full kitchen and laundry plus a large living room. A comfortable stop for the 4 of us after the bustle of Wellington. The room was sizable and on the first floor which meant some heavy lifting of luggage. There were a few cars in the car park already so we decided to leave the car on the road outside. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I needed to do a load of washing after returning from a 5 day kayak in the Abel Tasman National park but also had to meet friends for dinner so the staff put my washing in the dryer and then put the dried clothes into my room.
