Parking was available at the front door to our room. Our host Gaynor, well her delicious welcome muffins held over the kids until I could prepare dinner in the fully equiped kitchen. Spacious and warm rooms, and the beds.... so comfortable it was hard to get out of bed in the morning. Supermarket is located around the corner, and exceptional coffee is near there too (look for a little wooden house with a "coffee' sign).Guest review byFionaGroup

It has good facilities, washing and drying machines, communal kitchen and nice dining area. The Lodge used to be hospital so lots of rooms and wooden floor corridors. Quiet location with hens wandering outside. You can buy their eggs - I love this place as have been before. The lodge, having been a hospital before, is quite big and has great lounge areas with some vintage pieces that definitely add to it. The kitchen was also spacious and fully equipped. Parking is outside your door and the WiFi is excellent. There is a socket by the bed for your phone. The lovely host even provided a homemade fruit cookie which was great. Our hosts were very accommodating and helpful, we were so appreciative of them leaving us homemade muffins and fresh milk after a long day of exploring all the fantastic sites in Owaka.
