The Commodores Lodge is very central in Russell with bars and restaurants nearby. We were very impressed with the room and the facilities, the room was very clean with good facilities. We enjoyed eating a picnic dinner out there one evening. Simply fabulous. While there is a pool we didn't use it as the Lodge is only a few steps away from the beach and preferred to swim in the sea. We did warm up in the spa pool after one swim which was very nice. Well appointed kitchen to do breakfast, lunch and simple dinners. Peter and Greg know the area well and gave us great recommendations of places to visit. Peter’s breakfasts were superb! It’s a short easy walk into Russell. The breakfast provided was gourmet and plentiful, beautifully cooked by Peter and presented by Greg.
