There is an old New Zealand aesthetic to Stratford which makes the atmosphere really enjoyable. The apartment was clean, staff were respectful, facilities were well equipped (tv, cleaning liquid, towels), close to local shops in Stratford and the Egmont National park. The owner is extreemly nice, we were welcomed with 2 hot maffines for our 5 o'clock coffee and when asked, she kindly offered us to wash our laundary using her washing machine. Hotel is the focal point and is busy centre of the village, people are friendly and we enjoyed looking around the history on the walls of the hotel and around the area.
