This was such an amazing, relaxing and beautiful stay. The location is so quiet- very easy to arrange a taxi via WhatsApp to town for $15. The staff were so friendly and the food was delicious! I would highly recommend for a quiet getaway by the ocean.

We had a fun experience in the jungle. Jane was so accommodating, the perfect hosts. The monkeys howling in the morning, the sloth traveling down the vine 6 feet away from us on our porch, the coolest ! A bit damp and buggy but that's the jungle. Jane and Maxi had a dream and made it come true. If you want a truly unique experience you need to stay at Jungle Paunch

We loved Clarisse, the host of Nathylodge and her family~ without their hospitality and warmth, quite frankly we would have been very disappointed with our choice of accommodations ...As Isla San Cristobal is a beautiful island, there are no roads, and everywhere you go has to be arranged with a boat.
There are kayaks, and a dock to swim off of.
The views from our little house, which sat high up, were amazing, during the day, and at night the stars.
The howler monkeys made their voices clear, and we did have the opportunity to view a few, along with a sloth to watch as it made its way down from the tree next to us.
From the moment we arrived to the last day, Clarisse only wanted to make sure we had what we needed, to the best she could offer.
She is also an amazing cook, which led to some delicious dinners & desserts!! She arranged for all of transfers plus our tours with Miguel, the guide, who with we explored a lot of the other islands, near & far!
New friends, we hope our paths cross again!!

The location is wonderful and all of the food is very good. I stayed in the cabin dorm which is very nice and felt private behind the curtain. Each bed has a window which is a nice touch. It rained for much of my 4 day stay, but it’s still a lovely hotel to wait out the rain.

Beautiful place .... very clean and the staff was super nice and helpful. We didn't book the deluxe room with air conditioning to save some money. But when they know my wife is pregnant, they gave us a free upgrade to a room with air conditioning ..... very nice. That shows they care about their guests.

Toucan Hill is a hidden jungle paradise, but what truly makes it special is David. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel at home with his kindness, warmth, and attention to detail. The cabins are brand new, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped—sharp knives, quality cookware, a coffee machine, and even reusable water bottles to help reduce waste. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and the outdoor living space is perfect for relaxing. We loved being surrounded by nature—waking up to the sounds of monkeys, spotting sloths in the trees, and seeing toucans and flying toads right outside our window. The beach is stunning, and David even provided beach mats and bags to make our days by the ocean even better. He went above and beyond, offering to bring us groceries from town and sharing great conversations over a beer, making us feel like old friends.

The location of the lodge is right on the beach, which is awesome! The dorms are pretty nice and the beds are super comfy. Very nice restaurant with good food and drinks.
The location and setting of the lodge was one of a kind. Beautiful deserted beach in the middle of the jungle. It was impossible not to relax.
I'm vegetarian and they had an excellent selection of food at the restaurant.
While it's low season and some bookable activities were unavailable, the staff went out of their way to help me find interesting things to do on my days away from the lodge/beach.
The location off the beautiful Red Frog beach is the best feature of the place. The beach was not too crowded given we were off-season (April 18).The facilities are shaded by tropical / palm trees, well groomed. The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The beach cabaña we rented was very clean, including the bathroom. The short walk through the jungle to the lodge is beautiful and sets the relaxed vibe of the place.
Nice set up, lodges spread out with a separate community area with cool bar n restaurant and popular slide into the water! Rooms nice and spacey clean, staff helpful and friendly and food was very nice don’t miss out!
Easy check in and the free shuttle from the docks was easy to find and on time.
The lodges were absolutly as expected. Very quiet place and easy to chill. The property has kayaks and snorkel equipment. The diner and evening meal were very good and the staff were friendly.
