Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Gocta Andes Lodge is located in Chachapoyas. Guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast each morning at this lodge, just 3.7 mi from the Gocta waterfalls.

Location, view, gardens, birds, it’s at the trailhead of a very cool walk under the canopy up the valley right up to the pool under the falls, the cuisine, the super friendly staff, the relative proximity to many fascinating sites.

With mountain views, Mamaq Tambo Lodge is located in Cocachimba and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace.

Truly a place upon which we had high expectations; this wonderful Mamaq Tambo Lodge did not disappoint! Finding Cocachimba with spotty cell coverage and incomplete info from downloaded google maps, proved to be difficult as the town of Cocachimba is substantially off the main road ( Hghwy 5). Our host, Carmen couldn’t have been more wonderful , providing needed directions, then meeting us in the village and leading us to the lodge! Despite any difficulty with directions getting there, our experience was not tainted in any way! Our cabin , with its awe inspiring view of surrounding mountains and Gocta Waterfall, was beyond excellent and it had a wonderfully peaceful porch we thoroughly enjoyed after several hard days of touring and trekking . The location is perfect for trekking to Gocta Falls, and not too far from traveling to Kuelap ( one of our most favorite sites in Peru!) We were served deliciously outstanding suppers and breakfasts over our 3 night stay, and climbing to the overlook on the property to watch the sunset is an experience definitely not to be missed!! Carmen and Francesco have done fantastic work of design , building, landscaping and creation of a truly special environment to make guests feel at home in an Andes mountain paradise!! If you’re staying in the Cocachimba area, Mamaq is must stay !!!

Offering mountain views, GoctaLab in Cocachimba has accommodations, a garden, a terrace and a bar. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge.

I was so disappointed we spent only one night. Sergio and Jana operate a world class retreat. Service was beyond exceptional. Jana paid attention to every detail. She organized every single part of the trip and made sure that all of our needs were met. Sergio was creative, engaging, super helpful with any of our plans and made sure that our retreat was at one with nature. There is the option to have your dinner prepared there and I would recommend it to anyone. All of the food is farm to table and much was grown on site. There are parrots that are outside the window in the morning and it is a terrific place to relax. Much of the art and ceramics were made by the hosts. They are high-quality and for those of you who can carry some home, you should. The rooms were perfectly appointed and I now want to bring my family there for an extended stay.

This was the perfect location with the best view. Our host was amazing. The photos don’t do it justice. It’s even more beautiful and serene in person.

Great view, independent lodge surrounded by beautiful flowers and trees, only thing you can hear are the birds chirping and water running somewhere far away. So peaceful and relaxing. Delicious homemade meals using local ingredients. Very caring and helpful staffs. There was a road construction and some hours were inaccessible by car but it wasn’t troublesome, was easy to adapt our schedule to visit archeological sites. Highly recommended!

Stunning views from our lodge in a truly unique setting. The design of the room made the most of the view of the waterfall, being able to see it from the bed in the morning. The food was also delicious with local Peruvian dishes and ingredients. The staff were all very helpful and we also loved the two dogs and one cat!

Amazing property, waterfalls views, host, and service. We loved our stay. The host has obviously invested in amenities, construction of the lodges, and employs very caring and kind staff. We loved waking up every morning looking at the waterfall and eating all our home cooked and local meals. We would stay again 100%. Thank you, and thank to your lovely team, this was one of our most memorable Peru experiences.

A piece of paradise found in Peru.... Charming, remote (yet accessible), peaceful, stunningly beautiful, friendly, comfortable, are just a few words to describe our time at this beautiful lodge. Francesco, Carmen, and their extraordinary staff, went above and beyond to make our stay a truly special one.

The location of Mamaq Tambo lodge is superb! You have a great view of the Gocta falls. But not only the location is great, the lovely host Amaryllis make you feel at home, dinner and breakfast are excellent and the stylish design of both the lodge and the houses makes it the place to stay when visiting this area!
