Located a few steps from Tan-awan Beach, D downhill'Place offers a garden, a terrace and air-conditioned accommodations with a balcony and free WiFi.

The main selling point of this place is its proximity to the whaleshark place - this becomes important when you know it's crucial to get up early if you don't want to lose an entire morning on the experience. Also the waterfalls are reachable for a visit in the same morning, if you organize yourself well, so you can see all attractions nearby before the check-out. Sadly, I don't think there are many reasons to stay longer than 1 night in Oslob, and this guesthouse serves these basic needs. I like the owner's fair approach to guests - if asked what would be the cheapest way to reach the ferry for Panglao, they will not push their own transport that they offer, but will inform you that there is indeed a bus as the cheapest option (same as for the waterfalls).

    OYO IS A SCAM OF A PLACE. !!This is the worse experience I’ve had at Philippines. I booked and paid via bookin.com and when we arrive the property manager or whoever didn’t allow us to check in without paying by cash again. Basically asking us to pay twice. When we reached out to Oyo they didn’t refund us but simply cancelled the booking without a refund as a no show. This is frustrating since we were stranded here and had to find a different lodging short notice.

    Nice beach, but they burn trash all the time smells like burning wood/lodge all day The garden is well maintained Right outside in the morning is the feeding, you can actually watch the whale shark. The biggest advantage is that's so close to the feeding.

    The beach was beautiful, and the decoration as well. The guide Jon was incredible, very attentive and kind. Definitely recommend this lodge!

    we had a great stay at new village lodge, the staff really made us feel so welcomed and they were so helpful during our stay!! overall lovely hotel, really pretty at night with all the lights! good location and facilities, rooms were nice, lovely staff! thank you!!

    Did not expect anything special about the place as it is too cheap. Turns out that the place is super nice and got all we needed. The bathroom is complete with hot and cold shower, the bed is very comfortable, and the aircon is super cold. On top of this, we also got a tv to keep us entertained. All that for just €12 a night! Glad that we gave this lodging house a chance despite some not so good reviews. We can say that we got more than what we paid for!
