With mountain views, lake mwamba lodge is located in Kasenda and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden and terrace. Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge.
Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
New lodge so everything modern and new.. Great pool area. Rooms are large and lovely. Food was really superb and staff friendly and helpful. Location was stunning.
When the bar area and spa are open as still being finished I highly recommend a stay.
The view on the Lake is amazing and you can do a lot of bird watching.
The employees are all very kind and the food prepared is one of the best I had these last months of travel.
The lodge is also just besides a school and the benefits of the lodge goes to support community project such as education.
The lodge, which seems to be quite new and has a cute garden, is away from the hustle and bustle of Fort Portal (which also means that it can't be reached on foot). The room and bathroom were clean. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious.
Kaswa is in an idyllic location near Fort Portal. Raymond and Martha, as well as the staff are all very friendly and helpful. They encourage guests to visit/participate in the cow milking or calf feeding and to meet the goats!
Each of the rooms is a lovely self-contained lodge with views towards the mountains. A delicious and ample breakfast is served on the terrace.
We were delighted to discover Kaswa Guest Farm will also serve lunch or supper if needed for a reasonable price. We benefited from this on both evenings.
Surprisingly nice lodges with a breathtaking and exceptional vieuw over a crater lake.
Very nice staff and a very good chef ( Ben) who made the most delicious meals for us. In a very small kitchen. And served in a little open restaurant.
And a very friendly owner ( Bonnie) who could tell us a lot about Uganda and who accompanied us when we were visiting a primary School in the community.
Comfortable, good-value beds and good, reasonably priced meals in a nice, leafy-green location with a beautiful view near the botanical gardens north of the city centre.
The bicycles available for rent are in good condition, just make sure the tyres are pumped up. Kyaninga Lodge on Lake Kyaninga is a very steep, gorgeous 8 km bike ride from the hostel, and they'll let you in to swim in the beautiful lake if you buy a drink.
Amazing work being done here in the local community which we witnessed first hand. The lodge itself offers incredible views from the rim of the crater lake. We enjoyed the food, especially breakfast looking out at the peaks of the distant mountain range to the sound of laughter and singing from local school children. This is a lovely place to stay for a couple of days, especially as we could walk down to the lake and enjoy a beer by the water there. The money you spend staying here goes back into the community. It's a win-win for everybody
We were a group of 5 adults + 2 young children and had an amazing stay.
The location is great with a wonderful lake view. It is very quiet and it is possible to walk and hike around.
The rooms are very confortable and clean. We didn't see any mosquito during our stay. We also had a great time visiting the school with the children and the team.
Thank you to Mwamba Kelele lodge!
The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The food was amazing, they even cooked a termite mushroom we got doing our safari... absolutely delicious!
