Very nice little houses, everything made of wood! The only thing we didn’t like were the heaters - they’re quite noisy and they leave the air extremely dry

Breakfast was great. The guest service (owner I assumed) was excellent.

Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
On a road trip and realised had booked for the wrong day. Amended booking as a request and emailed. Just declined offer either no further contact other than to tell me how to check in. Wasn’t full as was still able to book. Didn’t expect done for nothing but a % of a new booking or a admin charge would have been appreciated. Ruby’s lodge moved horse riding foc !
It was a place I used while passing by on a long-distance travel itinerary. Actually, I went without much expectation, but it was a more spacious and comfortable home-like lodging than I thought. My trip was happy. We would have stayed longer if we had no other plans.
