The area is magnificent. The lodge fits in the area. Room was nothing fancy but practical and comfortable for the most part.

Easy to get to, restaurant next door, grocery store and fishing shop next door. It's a very old lodge, cabins are a little out dated, but they have done a good job keeping old log cabin looking good.

I love the Spruce Lodge for the quaintness, cabin mountain feel. I think I happen to have a bad visit there. When I arrived the heater was broken so they eventually had to move me to another room. But I had a terrible night's sleep as the heater in the room was making noises all night. I never really fell asleep. That was the major drawback. The staff was very nice and helpful.

The person that checked us in was super. We had a hard time seeing the lodge because of the sun, so we had to call & he helped us get to them. He was very friendly & understanding. The rooms were clean cozy & easy to check in & check out.

I didn’t get an opportunity to stay or check out Ute Bluff Lodge because they didn’t return my call or email until the following day, and we needed to speak w/ them, but again they didn’t return my multiple calls or email until the following day. Their voicemail instructed you to leave a message and/ or go to their website and email them, which i did, but they did not respond until the day we were supposed to check out. Anyway, their voicemail recording indicated that it was full and could not accept any other messages.

Perfect size for family of 4. Very clean. Loved having a washer/dryer and dishwasher in the house. Fireplace warmed up the entire house. The location is great being close to grocery store and ski rental shop, and not too far from wolf creek ski lodge.

great for what it is - a budget lodge close to the ski fields. but the shower hot water did not get above lukewarm, with bad pressure. and the staff said we were the first to stay in the room since a recent renovation, but the room was filthy with dust and construction debris so obviously hadn’t been cleaned.

We loved our short stay at Ute Bluff Lodge. The front office was extremely friendly and personable, and we loved the little touches here and there that were accommodating and fun. The location is very convenient and the room was very well kept and clean. We'd definitely recommend staying here and will absolutely be back again if we ever need another stay in South Fork. Thank you!

We had car trouble and could not make our reservation. The folks at the lodge were kind enough not to charge us for a reservation. Will try again next month!
