The location was quiet and gorgeous! We stayed for a few nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners were very attentive and helped organize everything we needed. We rented a scooter from the neighbor to explore the island and the owner will drive you to town for a small fee. The Cat Ba Express will drop off and pick up right at the property. We enjoyed the food at Joystay. It’s convenient that they serve all meals because the property is a short drive outside of town. Overall, I would stay here if I come back to Cat Ba. LGBTQ friendly too!

Great stay here! The room was spacious, clean, good views! The grounds were well kept with lots of greenery, a pool, and views to the ocean (in the distance). They provide moped for rent! The location is not in the main site of cat ba, which we avoided because of the construction going on. We enjoyed this area, there was a restaurant on site which we had for breakfast (try the pancake- so good!), there is also some restaurants just down the road within walking distance, including a music bar with pool table. We used the rented mopeds to go into cat ba for the day and found this was enough to check out the main town, but preferred this area for lodging as it was quieter and we could walk to the beach and not see construction. The owner was very helpful in helping us book the 1 day cruise (which was amazing) for a great price! And also helped us get a train to our next stop after our sleeper bus cancelled on us last minute. Great place!

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Beautiful, clean rooms with friendly staff who speak English fluently. The vegetarian menu was a plus, and it’s very close to the beach.

Room comfortable and clean , every staff very nice, one of the lady very kind, I asked for plastic bag to cover our bag pack. She tried to find the rain jacket but didn't have one so she gave me bin bag instead. Love this place, we will stay here again if we go back to Cat Ba

The Homestay was lovely and spotless. Staff were wonderful and so helpful with booking a boat trip and transportation onward to Sapa. We liked the local but it was about a twenty minute walk to the waterfront where many of the cafes and restaurants are located. Great breakfast included and scooters available for rent.
