South AfricaThis is the perfect spot for an off-the-beaten-track, close-to-nature experience. The accommodation in glamping tents is very comfortable and each tent has an amazing view of valleys and mountains. We loved the small finishing touches in the tent. The shared kitchen and BBQ area are very well equiped. A real highlight of our stay was the walk through the indigenous forest and neighbouring nature reserve. Our hosts, Hilary and Andrew, could not have been more welcoming or informative!

We really enjoyed the game drives and saw plenty of animals, in particular, a cheetah feeding on a springbok she had just killed. Our guide, Jordan, was very knowledgeable and made sure each game drive was worthwhile. The animals are in general very relaxed because Sanbona is a non profit organization and therefore the pressure on the animals is held on a low level with limited people and trucks. The safari experience is amazing – in our two drives we saw giraffes, lions, elephants, rhino and more. But with our guide's enthusiasm and insight, I felt immersed into the ecosystem of the reserve rather than that I was simply looking at rare animals.
