Situated alongside a lake, Old Mac Daddy offers quirky accommodation in a variety of holiday homes and refurbished vintage trailers.

Enjoyed the natural surroundings and beautiful vistas from the Airstreams positioning. The staff surprised us with a very special treat at dinner in celebration of our wedding anniversary, was truly special surprise well appreciated.

What a lovely stay. The premises are safe, clean & modern. The AC was much appreciated. Staff was excellent & accommodating with a little turnaround everyday even though we were in the self catering unit. We did however struggle with out TV & missed the note that our unit had no access to the pool. But other than that, I'll return again & again! Thanks for a lovely stay x

    As this was our second visit to Blue Crane Lodge, we loved it as much as the last time. The cottage has everything one needs with a large indoor fireplace for chilly nights. We enjoyed making pizzas in the real pizza oven and the milk and fresh bread each morning was a lovely touch. We would definitely recommend this place

    The location was amazing fresh bread and milk every morning with eggs and butter on arrival and two pizza bases . This place is just majestic and the host is just wonderful. The venue is great for the perfect break from your daily rushed life . I would recommend this place to everyone . We enjoyed every second , the house is amazing everything is there and you are surrounded by the most beautiful view. Blue crane farm lodge you are amazing and you will see me again.

    Staff was amazing... Myself and my partner, initially booked at Elgin River Lodge. When they cancelled we were very sad but now we're grateful it happen. Old daddy gave us a VIP treatment... A presidential one to be exact.

    The location is amazing! The mountains and fynbos are beautiful and so peaceful. It was a nice escape from the busy city. The hot tub is awesome and obviously a main attraction for this lodge. The complimentary rusks and coffee were delicious! We really loved our stay, but think the place could use some TLC.
