It was an unbelievable experience to lay in the pool and see elephants coming by to drink at the waterhole. The owners and guides have been exceptional - we felt like being part of the family and can only highly recommend this small and wonderful lodge in the Greater Kruger.

The place is absolutely stunning and very tranquil, the staff are hands on and very attentive tinyiko, patience and another lady who cleaned our room were so welcoming and friendly. Janke our host was available at all times when we needed anything from her despite her not feeling well she went an extra mile to ensure our stay was great! Truly appreciate that.. It was my wifes birthday on the 15th of April and they really made sure that she enjoys it.
Facilities were great especially if you're looking for a relaxing experience this place is exactly that.

This was an amazing getaway for our small family staying in the oliphant suites. Honestly there is nothing I can fault - the service was spot on, the food each day/night delicious, the facilities and the daily game drives were just incredible. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a real safari experience! And bonus we saw the big five !

The view from the public areas is fantastic and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I loved having different places to eat the meals. And the food is superb! Our guide was knowledgeable and committed. In all, a wonderful stay. A gym would be ideal, just to be able to burn away some of the delicious calories we consumed! And note that the garden rooms don't have baths and no view, the photos on the site are mostly of the new suites overlooking the river.

nice place in a private reserve with good quality of accomodation and safari tours as well I think that's the maximum price to be paid is that one of this accomodation as you can see a lot and same animals too driving by your self in the National Kruger Park. No make sense to spend more money for other more expensive accomodation.
You can see some animals in the lodge
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Dinner and breakfast were excellent. For dinner we tasted ostrich that was cooked in the best manner
Elephants and impalas walking around and getting back from evening safari we met hyena close to the lodge. It made our staying with positive emotions that we stayed in wild area
Our stay at Lions Place Lodge was fantastic. The lodge is beautiful and well-maintained, with lovely rooms and views of the bush. The friendly staff gave us a warm welcome and were always ready to ensure we had the best time.
We enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the mornings and dinner in the evenings. The location is perfect for safari enthusiasts, offering easy access to stunning bush walks and game drives.
Overall, Lions Place Lodge exceeded all our expectations. We highly recommend this lodge and look forward to returning!
My partner and I stayed for 2 nights as a birthday gift. It was amazing. Guide, Millie was fantastic and we were able to see an abundance of game throughout our 4 game drives. On arriving back to the lodge after our morning or evening drive, Hardus and the other staff had breakfast/dinner ready to go and it was delicious.
During the day, we sat by the pool and watched the elephants stroll by!
We would 10/10 recommend.
The staff were excellent. On the safari's we saw heaps of animals. Our guides went out of their way to find any animal we hadn't yet seen. Seeing all the hippos coming out of the river was the highlight of our trip!!
We had such a lovely time at Muweti. It is a small and intimate lodge with great staff. We really enjoyed the food and the personal touches. We loved to see the elephants from the watering hole and the guides taught us many interesting things about the bush and the wildlife.
A real safari experience. We also enjoyed interacting with other guests.
Thank you to the Muweti team!
The lodge is in a beautiful private game reserve in Greater Kruger. The wild animals are right next to the vence. The rooms were clean, cosy, spacious and just what you need after a safari day. Xander is extremely hospitable and Helen cooks the best breakfast, lunch and diner for you (Italian style). We recommend doing the activities with Xander in Grietjie instead of doing it yourself in Kruger, as he knows everything about the nature and the animals.
We loved every second :)
This Lodge is really living up to the great reviews it already got.
We felt so welcomed into this lovely family.
We especially liked that we got an honest and realistic perspective on safari and living in the nature reserves.
The owners take a lot of responsibility and put a lot of work into creating an environment were tourists and the animals can enjoy themselves and be safe.
I couldn't recommend it enough :)
We liked everything. The road to the lodge is long and a little bumpy, but we enjoyed this as an extra safari. We always saw animals. The hotel is amazing and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.
Our 3 day stay at lions place exceeded all of our expectations! The service, room and safari drives have all been amazing and if you are lucky many different animals come drink at the lodge. JP is a great host and really goes the extra mile to make your stay and game drives extra special. One of our most memorable stays ever!
