A very luxury peaceful accomodation with a stunning view! The super helpfull friendly staff made sure we were taken care of in a five star manner. The food is excellent and contributed to the experience.
The gamedrives were very impressive. Special thanks to our guide Louis who was very professional, showed incredible knowledge and was very driven to show us as many animals as possible.
As a family we will never forget this experience.
Thank you to all the staff (Aobakwe, Sammy and Nikkie) at Kingfisher Villa’s!

The size made it feel very intimate and like part of a home. It’s beautiful, food is fantastic and lovely break away from the city when you don’t want to be bothered to self cater in Mabalingwe.

Situated on 1000-hectare of bushveld, Re a Lora Lodge is located 15 km from Bela-Bela and offers a variety of activities ranging from game drives and birding safaris.
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hornbill House, it's perfect for a large gathering of friends and family. We loved that the bedroom lodges were separate from the entertainment area so you can come together to socialise but also retreat to your private area when you would like. The entertainment area is perfect for a gathering, we loved sitting around the boma while braaing and chatting. The house keepers were so lovely, helpful and friendly.
Safari Plains is an absolute TREAT!! The rooms are exquisite, the staff are all friendly and helpful, lodge is beautiful, animals literalyl at your doorstep, this resort is as close to perfect as I can image! We requested an alternate time for dinner as our daughter is young and the first night was challenging with a 19h00 dinner start time - they accommodated us with no fuss whatsoever.
Location is great. Tent was in a good condition and luxurious. Game drives were great - saw big four and some animals we have never seen before. Hot water bottles and blankets were a lovely touch to each game drive. The staff were very accommodating, and Willard, bar man Kenny and ranger Musa were the standouts. Great to see a safari lodge that is loadshedding proof.
The stay at Mabula game Lodge was cancelled due to a over booking on their side, was transferred to a sister lodge Safari Plains, the stay was very enjoyable.
Staying at Mabula Game Lodge is always nice and refreshing, from the warm welcome I received from Mme Lizzy when checking in to the lovely game drives with Stefan👌🏼
The home is amazingly well equipped and comfortable. Unlike many lodges that feel like a hotel we really felt like we were in a home. The views are amazing and the information received from the hosts on what to do, where to go made our stay very enjoyable.
