CanadaTraveling with my brother, we were upgraded from the guest house to two separate rooms in the lodge. The rooms and meals were excellent, and the staff was very accommodating. We did two guided tours from this location and explored this amazing area. It was an absolutely fantastic experience and I only wish we could’ve stayed more than two nights.

United StatesThe setting was peaceful and beautiful and the staff friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and comfortable, and the pool was fantastic. My wife went horseback riding while I took the battlefield tour with Thulani--both were excellent. Since we had a sedan, we parked at the Rorke's Drift Museum parking lot for the 2 nights we were there. The lot is safe and secure. The lodge provided a driver to take us up their 5 km jeep track to the lodge. The breakfast and suppers were excellent.

The host family and staff are very kind and approachable and take attention to detail. I would definitely recommend Fugitives Drift Lodge. Our highlight was talking with the family, the staff and the other guests, not just on the tours but also during the hosted lunches and dinners. We learned a lot from them on a variety of topics far wider than the military history for which they are famous.
