*Serene Retreat in a Natural Oasis*
I had the pleasure of staying for 4 nights at this picturesque retreat, nestled among lush greenery and towering trees, with the soothing sounds of the nearby river providing a constant backdrop. The facility's thoughtful design and attention to detail created a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect haven for relaxation and rejuvenation.
The cozy cottage accommodations were tastefully appointed with all the amenities necessary to make one feel at home. The retreat's proximity to the Sabie CBD ensured that all necessary amenities were within easy reach, yet the peaceful surroundings allowed for a complete disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
A delightful breakfast was also offered on a daily basis.
Overall - This retreat offers a unique blend of natural beauty, tranquility, and thoughtful services, making it an ideal destination for those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation. I highly recommend Sabie Star to anyone looking to escape the stresses of everyday city life and connect with nature....

The hospitality and service received, absolutely super. The accommodation and views are breath taking. Special dinner in the room, the picnic near the lake including special cake prepared for my birthday. The swimming pool including fireplace while having dinner at your own privacy one can not fault. Simply amazing and I will most Certainly return. We stayed at the Two bedroom Villa with a private meditation space, including magnificent views and the sound of birds when you wake. Fresh smell of nature. Amazing!!
Situated along the slopes of Sabie River Valley, Tanamera Lodge offers panoramic views of the lowveld and indigenous bush. It features a bar, library and chalets with a private deck and plunge pool.

Amazing location, scenery and hospitality. We loved Renate’s stories. She is an excellent host with such a passion for her heritage. The food and wine was delicious and is such a confirmation of the ambience that she creates.

Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
The place is easy enough to find. Google knows the entrance from the main road. The road up to the lodge is doable in a 4x4, but otherwise a challenge!
Rina, the house keeper, took great care of us. The place is really lovely.
Only one star subtraction for all the minor little details that just keep it from being great. Some stains here, a not-so-well-patched hole in the roof, the damaged pool table, etc etc.
Overall great value for money but there’s room for improvement 😉
Amazing guest lodge! Now
Very high level of service. It is very well maintained and clean but you can see that it is a place with some history and character. This was part of the charm for us.
Sabie is also a nice town and an amazing start for the Panorama route!
Would love to come again in the future.
Everything was laid-back and connected to nature.
The beautiful old furniture, next to a natural river, great shower basin, road to the lodge covered by super green bushes, lovely staff, self catering services with all necessary etiquette.
We stayed in one of the Lodges, it was great. A lot of space and everything we needed.
The facilities are also wonderful and the location is just beautiful
