Situated 6.8 km from Upington Golf Club, Country Lodge offers an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi.

Beautiful apartment-like rooms set in a court yard. Everything is decorated in an elegant African theme and the rooms have everything you need and are very big. We also felt very safe, the rooms and the parking away from the main street.

We enjoyed the calmness of this lodge with an olde-worlde feel to it. It is in a great location and we were lucky to get a room with lovely views to the Orange River and a resident small springbok family in the large gardens.

It’s a fabulous place! An oasis of calm on the Orange River, especially after a long international flight or being on safari in the hot, dusty Kalahari. Lovely room and good food. The staff are polite and friendly. No issues at all.

This lodge is pefrectly situated next to the Orange river, the rooms are spacious and decorated beautifully. The Receptionist/Waitress , Tamerin-Lee is very friendly and helpful and efficient. The Chef made excellent food, the Sirloin steak was delicious and well prepared. The hot breakfast , fruits, breads and yogurts, and cheeses were exceptional.

Very beautifull lodge, with a tiny swimmingpool. Everything surrounded by nature, trees, bushes, birds. The setting is wonderful. The gardens are very well looked after. A little tropical paradise as you can usually only find in brochures of travel agencies. Such a quiet and relaxing place. And we got a very friendly welcoming by Duncan who runs the place. We instantly felt at home as if we had known each other for ages. He is a genius with people and we were very sorry we had to leave again the next day.

We found Country Lodge to be the most exquisite place to stay. The property is decorated with quirky African art and is a definite eye catcher. The young manager couldn't do enough to help us and she even drove us out and back to Orange River Cellars and even had time to give us a quick tour of the town! Breakfast was excellent
