With mountain views, Pacuare Mountain Lodge is situated in Tres Equis and has a restaurant, a tour desk, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. A perfect stop over between Pura Vida Ecolodge and Puerto Viejo on the Caribbean side. We were met with open arms and warm smiles and were incredibly well looked after throughout our short stay. It genuinely felt like we were at home... Incredibly friendly and helpful staff and a really beautiful set up, stunning views, wonderfully kept gardens and basic but comfortable cabins. They even managed to make some tweaks in the kitchen in order to offer us a super tasty vegan evening meal and very yummy breakfast. Gracias Antonio y amigos, we'll be back and for longer next time - seems like there is SO much to explore in the area!

With mountain views, Corredores del Pacuare is set in La Suiza and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. Very good experience. The hotel is somewhat remote (9km drive on unpaved road). Gilberth (the owner) is a very nice person. He really helped me when I got stuck driving a small FWD car, and prepared a very good breakfast. Highly recommended place to stay, but I would recommend driving a 4x4 in that area.

Featuring mountain views, Villas Valle Bello in Ujarrás features accommodation, a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Incredible location (the road needs some getting used to!) The vista magnifico, the insects at night, and of course Rolando y Elliot the marvellous hosts who took us in and treated us so well. We wish we stayed longer

Paraíso Quetzal Lodge features extensive gardens, wooden bungalows and a terrace with views of the cloud forest. It is located just 3 km from Los Quetzales National Park. What an amazing place! The land and views are gorgeous! Beautiful trails, hummingbirds and other lovely birds and nature, great food, friendly and good staff support, and lovely cabins!

Located 16 km from Jardin Botanico Lankester and 26 km from Ujarras Ruins, Escapadita al Bosque provides accommodation in San Isidro. Free WiFi is provided and private parking is available on site. The location, the equipment, the care given to set practical things and to make the trails/sanderos very clear and easy. I definitely recommand it to people wanting to be inspired by nature.

With mountain views, Hotel Wagelia Espino Blanco is located in Turrialba and has a restaurant, a tour desk, bar, garden and terrace. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. The location is beautiful but this type of accomodation is just not my thing. There is no electricity in the cabins, something that is not indicated clearly. No electricity means no hot water and when it's cold out, a hot shower is appreciated. The water was ice cold. I'm all for saving the planet but I'm not ready to trun into a cave woman.

Located 29 km from Jardin Botanico Lankester, Cabañas La Laguna provides accommodation with a garden, a terrace and room service for your convenience. We had a problem with the GPS and arrived real late. We had a lot of support and were welcome so late at night, way outside of the regular check-in hours. We got helped ordering food. The location itself could have been gorgeous if the laguna /water area and outside was taken care, which was not the case.
