It is rustic, but comfortable, and we enjoyed the chance to get to know the other guests. Our guided walks were outstanding and we saw an amazing array of frogs, birds and insects . It may not be for those who seek luxury, but it is definitely for those who seek authenticity. We’ll be back.

Offering an indoor pool and a restaurant, Peace Lodge is located a 1-hour drive from San Jose in Vara Blanca. Free WiFi access is available in this lodge. It is simply amazing, expensive yes but well worth it.

This lodge is set in the Tirimbina Nature Reserve and 2 km from De la Virgen Park. It features free Wi-Fi, an extensive garden and a furnished terrace. The trails, the rooms all was perfect.
