Situated 2.9 km from Negra Beach, Sonora Jungle & Yoga Retreat offers an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. It feels like a retreat, you can hear the monkeys in the background and feel the jungle vibes. It is away from the noisy tourism and was an incredible experience.

Located in Puerto Viejo, Casa Viva Lodge provides free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a private beach area and a terrace. This is in the most stunning location and all the lodges are surrounded by beautiful trees and plants. The path entering onto the beach is magical. We came by bus and enjoyed using the bikes to explore the area. (Bring your own bike lights!) We had the suite and loved the cosy kitchen as a place to be in the evening. Kitchen was very well equipped, it even had a teapot which we really appreciated! For the carless - local restaurant 'Selvin' is a few minutes walk away and is really good, but it is only open Thursday-Sunday. Other places you need to walk at least 1/2 hour or bike or TukTuk. Very lovely and helpful Nicole, the onsite manager, as well as the smiling gardener who brought us coconut water, grapefruits and bananas. Will carry on dreaming about this place and hope to return!

Located 300 metres from Negra, Wildlife Lodge Cahuita offers a garden, a terrace and accommodation with a patio and free WiFi. A continental, vegetarian or vegan breakfast is available at the... We loved the place due to its big surrounding garden, which is stunning and beautifully taken care of, and the team there which is super welcoming. The delicious breakfast was a new experience every day. You can spot wild animals (birds, frogs, spiders ...) on the premises and can hear the howler monkeys and many other sounds at night. I loved the power outlet on the patio. We would definetely come back!

Featuring garden views, Satta Lodge in Puerto Viejo features accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace and a bar. Loved waking up with nature sounds and be surrounded by nature all the time. The swimming pool and restaurant area is gorgeous and the rooms and also beautiful and well equipped. The staff and owners were very nice and helpful which made our stay great, specially were also super grateful that we were allowed to do a late checkout. Thank you for a perfect stay.

Set 2.4 km from Negra, Hotel & Cabinas Nadine offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Everything was great. Booked for 2 nights, extended one extra-day because both, the house and the area deserved it. Plus Aurelie is a great host; she gave us very valuable tips about the area and made us feel at home.

Located 300 metres from Blanca, Bungalows Aché Cahuita provides accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a shared kitchen for your convenience. Exceeded all expectations. Thank you to the staff for all their help. Beautiful well maintained grounds. We saw more animals in the yard than in a national park. Lots of hummingbirds, a raccoon came between 10am and 11, and a family of Capuchin monkeys came every day around 2pm. It was a lot of fun to watch them.

Set in Puerto Viejo in the Limon region and Manzanillo Beach reachable within 400 metres, Congo Bongo EcoVillage Costa Rica offers accommodation with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, a garden and free... We travlelled for our anniversary trip, part of the trip we started at this resort and it blew our mind. The Long Dream House was spectacular and staffs were very nice. Masai and Oner was always in our reach with any help. The whole resort was very nicely decorated and what amazed us most is the use of resources. The walk from our Long Dream House was not 8 minutes what they told me, it was over 20 minutes, but honestly they made the whole 20 minutes walk so enjoyable with fantastic decoration. Reusung toys for kids was a great option. And the most of all we went there from NYC, living in a real forest was like a life time experience. Highly recommend!

Playa Negra Guesthouse is located in Cahuita, right in front of the beach. All units feature a seating area. Some units have a terrace and/or balcony with pool or garden views. Wonderful property and owners. A garden oasis. Steps from the beach and a quiet road. 10 min walk to a number of restaurants and good grocery store. We had a cabin and it was wonderful and fully equipped. Great pool, quiet garden, lots of animals. Marise very responsive and offered helpful advice. We’re returning!

Situated 5 km awayfrom Cahuita in the Limon Region and 18 km from Puerto Viejo, Passion Fruit Lodge boasts an outdoor pool and views of the tropical garden. Cocles is 20 km from the property. Beautiful garden and amazing pool, very nice and large cabana with kitchen and aircon. We love this place.

Set a few steps from Negra, Playa Grande Lodge & Tree House offers a garden, a terrace and accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. Everything was perfect, Gianluca and Mia are great hosts, always available if you need anything. They bring your breakfast (4 different choices) on your terrace each morning, freshly made. The lodge is perfectly located, just 1 minute away from the gorgeous Playa Grande. Thanks again for everything, it was really great!
