Private frumskógur „Loft del Rio“ er með garð, verönd og veitingastað. Boðið er upp á gistirými í Uvita með ókeypis WiFi og fjallaútsýni. This was exactly what I was looking for. Something deeper in the jungle yet close to Uvita and the coast. Just the peace and quiet and closeness to Nature I needed. And the cabin has no glass windows, just screens, so you can hear the music of the jungle very clearly. Nights were spectacular. I loved falling asleep to the symphony of the the surrounding wilderness and waking up to the sounds of roosters and howler monkeys (: The property has access to a river and mini waterfall which was very tranquil and serene. The drive to the cabin was a fun little adventure in itself and 4x4 is recommended. The hill that leads down to the cabin is ultra steep but you have the option to park atop the hill and walk down which is a short jaunt. The host, Wouter, was amazingly attentive, personable, and chill. He would always respond to my questions/ messages quickly. You could not ask for a better host. I can recommend Loft del Rio with total confidence and rate it a perfect 10. If you are looking to experience an immersive jungle experience that is also close to the coast, this is it.

Finca Terra Viva er staðsett í Monteverde Costa Rica á Puntarenas-svæðinu og Sky Adventures Monteverde er í innan við 2,6 km fjarlægð. Finca Terra Viva was marvelous! The property was spectacular, nestled in a valley and spanning up the hills on either side. It’s close enough to town that we were comfortable driving back and forth after dark, and far enough away that we didn’t have any of the light or noise (what little of it Santa Elena generates). Gaudy was warm and welcoming, offered excellent t recommendations, and is so committed to sustainable practices. It was just gorgeous - stunning and serene. We walked the trails, followed the birds, and fed 2-day-old calves! It is a working farm, and we woke with the sun (and cows and roosters) each day, but loved it. Some of the transport for local attractions will pick you up there, and others will ask you to meet them at a nearby intersection. Between the views, the air, the location, and the comfort of the casitas, we hated to leave.

William was so helpful with explaining how to get to the property (since it is a bit tricky being so secluded), and was very warm and welcoming in general! The rooms are all within a massive garden, full of interesting plants and trees, and complete with a pool which is really nice to swim in at night when lit up. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, with a large porch where you can chill out. Plenty of toads and insects jumping around!

Edge Boutique Hotel Nature er gististaður sem er aðeins fyrir fullorðna og er í stuttri akstursfjarlægð upp fjallinu frá bænum Uvita. Spotless, very nice room with amazing view, super nice hosts, lots of wildlife to watch, delicious breakfast, small capacity (8guests) very private, very good price.
