Offering an outdoor pool and views of the sea, Tranquilseas Eco Lodge & Dive Center is a Padi Dive Resort located in Sandy Bay in the Roatan Region. Our stay at Tranquilseas far exceeded our expectations. The staff were the friendliest, warmest, most welcoming people we have encountered. They felt like family by the end of our stay. From Delcie, Denry, David, Franklin, Samir in the restaurant / bar (who all always had such a ready smile and greeting for us) to Ellie, Chantel, Rudy and Emilio in the dive shop / dive boat, to Jan at the front desk - we could not have felt more welcomed. The hotel itself is nestled amongst the lush tropical greenery, away from the hustle and bustle and is so peaceful and relaxed. It is a short drive to West End / West Bay which are close enough to easily go experience (which we did several times), but also far enough away that you are removed from the noise and dust and crowds (easily accessible by taxi). The hotel bar and restaurant are situated so that they have fabulous views of the water and every meal was so full of flavor. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. The water right off the dock is crystal clear and teeming with life - great for snorkeling. They have frequent (I think daily) dive trips that take you to see even more of the reef. The room was very comfortable and beautifully appointed. We will definitely be back!!

Boasting a swimming pool, a garden, a terrace and views of the pool, Mariposa Lodge is situated in West End and features accommodation with free WiFi. We really enjoyed our stay. Mariposa is 1 minute away from busy west end bars and restaurants but hidden away a bit that you are not disturbed with laud music or people returning from night out. The room was great size with very comfortable big bed. We were provided by water so we didn't have to buy any in the shop whole week. We had fridge, microwave and coffee maker. All you need to reheat leftover food from restaurants (the portions were huge) and we could make our cup of coffee before we went out exploring :-). Staff was very friendly, we use the transport from and to the airport organizer by Mariposa. The driver was very nice, born and raise in Roatan so we could have a chat about that the island without being on official tour. We highly recommend this place for it's great location, good facilities and very professional staff. Thank you for making our stay so memorable Veronika and Simon :-).
