Laugarfell Accommodation & Hot Springs is located in the Eastern Highlands and is at the border of Vatnajökull National Park. The location was excellent, in a peaceful place under the mountains and glacier. The staff were very friendly, they even rang a bell when the Aurora Borealis was visible. Spacious rooms. The hot tubes outside. Breakfast was very good.

The room has a nice view of the rear garden and the ensuite bathroom was clean and new.

The camping pod is something very different from all the others. I think its a must to experience a night in a camping pod. You have to walk for the shower/toilet and the main area/kitchen - so it's something different. You can park exactly infront of the camping pod. It was self-check in, so it was a couple of seconds until we checked in. Showers were great. Also a perfect area to see the northern lights - which we did :D There is a very small park with reindeers. The kitchen is enormously huge and also has a small billiard :)
