The hot tubes outside. Breakfast was very good.

Superb location! We were very well welcomed by the owner and his friends. Since it was low season for fishing, and there was no extra staff, we had a restaurant kitchen at our beck and call. The room has a nice view of the rear garden and the ensuite bathroom was clean and new.

Egilsstaðir
Situated 38 km from Hengifoss, Vinland Camping Pods features accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a shared kitchen for your convenience. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. The camping pod is something very different from all the others. I think its a must to experience a night in a camping pod. You have to walk for the shower/toilet and the main area/kitchen - so it's something different. You can park exactly infront of the camping pod. It was self-check in, so it was a couple of seconds until we checked in. Showers were great. Also a perfect area to see the northern lights - which we did :D There is a very small park with reindeers. The kitchen is enormously huge and also has a small billiard :)
I recently stayed at Framtid Camping Lodging Barrels and was very pleased with my experience. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, making me feel comfortable. The shared areas were also in great condition, enhancing the overall stay. The check-in process was quick and easy, which was a big plus. The only downside was that the rooms were quite cold and there was no internet. Despite this, I highly recommend this place for a peaceful getaway.
a place like many in Iceland - a traditional wooden house with basic equipment. Hot water, heating, quiet neighborhood. a stopover on my way through this beautiful country.
Beautiful cosy wooden house above the town. Very friendly helpful and accomodating owners. Great Décor. Within walking distance from the town. Very cosy and comfortable room.
Really unique lodge. The staff were helpful. We were the only ones there so it was dead quiet. The sauna was a treat. The plentiful self-serve breakfast was great.
Loved the decor and the "lodge" vibe of this hotel! Hot tub, spa area, and lobby were beautifully decorated and welcoming.
It was a booking because all lodging in Hofn area were full (except the overpriced ones). So this was a little out of the way, the barrels are actually very comfortable, and I booked it again for the next night! The people at the desk were very friendly in making sure I could keep the same barrel.
Our favorite lodging on our entire 15-day road trip! Quaint, colorful, filled with antiques and spacious rooms. We really enjoyed it and Seydisfjordur was my all-time favorite town in Iceland (so far - this my first, but not last, trip to Iceland).
Great lodge!
The barrels are even more comfortable than i expected, this is closer to a room experience than camping Bathroom/showers facilities are brand new and cleaner than equivalent in a guesthouse My favorite lodging experience of my time in Iceland
We actually didn't stayed in the lodges because of the recommendation of the staff at the moment to get the keys in a Hotel in the city. He said we would freezing there as there is no heating, so we just stayed in a near hostel although we were exciting about being in the lodge. In this other place, was okay, there are everything you need to survive, a plus with the market near in the town. We got there without any plans though but was okay.
