Stayed there 2 nights and it was perfect. The property is located on the east side of the Kandy Lake and the downtown part of the city is on the opposite side of the lake, so you can experience a very quiet stay at Louis. Just 20-minute walk to the city centre. Very good price/quality ratio. The room is spacious, you've got big windows. The place is clean. Host is very nice and accommodating. I would definitely go back.

We had a motorbike so getting up the steep road was no problem. Room was very spacious and had lots of areas to chill inside and outside. The view was also spectacular and host was very friendly

Absolutely stunning view! Very comfortable (hanging) bed. Really high quality finishes throughout the room. The food was delicious. Inthizar the host was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Dinner was delicious.

I had an absolutely amazing experience here. The owner helped me on my way to Teldeniya from there I took a Tuktuk up in the hills. Solitary Cottage offers all you need: a quiet natural experience, birds and the sound of the wind. I managed to do some good hiking around without the need of a guide. The bungalow is well equipped and offers and fully equipped kitchen! Wifi works great. Make sure you order your food through the accommodation, it was close to the best authentic Sri Lankan food I ever tasted during my travels in Sri Lanka. I would definitely recommend this gorgeous place

Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this place truly feels like you're on a cloud, with a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. It's the perfect retreat for anyone looking for peace and serenity. The family running the lodge are some of the nicest people we’ve ever met—warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. They went above and beyond to make sure our baby was comfortable, ensuring she had everything she needed. To our surprise and delight, they even set up a small birthday cake and adorable decorations for her special day. Their thoughtfulness touched our hearts and made the occasion truly unforgettable. And the breakfast? Delicious! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made with love. It was such a treat to start our mornings here. If you're looking for a unique, heartwarming experience in Kandy, this lodge is an absolute gem. We can't recommend it enough!
