We had an incredible 3d2n stay at Sinharaja Kurulu Ella Eco Resort. Even before our stay, Janith and Manisha went above and beyond to make our trip to Sri Lanka enjoyable. The drive we had originally booked cancelled last minute, and they were able to quickly arrange transport for us from Colombo to the resort and even for the subsequent week of our trip. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, both the structures and the surrounding areas, which includes a path to a waterfall and gorgeous views of the rainforest. We ate each meal here and loved every single bite - the coconut sambal was some of the best in the world. For those with smaller stomachs, the portions are huge so it’s best to split a plate so as to avoid food waste. We originally booked the triple room with a view but when we saw the Superior Family Room, we immediately upgrades because it’s essentially a glass treehouse immersed in the jungle. We also booked a jungle tour through the resort and our guide Kumar took us on an incredible all day journey through a tea plantation to a rainforest, where we explored waterfalls and learned about the local flora. We are traveling through Sri Lanka for a few weeks and really this has been one of the highlights of our trip because of beautiful location, delicious food, the wonderful memories made on the jungle tour, and most importantly the compassion and kindness that were shown to us at every minute by Janith and Manisha. We cannot recommend this place enough.

This is the perfect place if you want something quiet and relaxed. It’s placed in the most amazing nature, with a good chance of seeing wild animals :))) With a scooter it’s only 5-10 minutes from the beach and Weligama and mirissa The rooms are so nice and clean with good ac :)) The hosts offer to make both breakfast, lunch and dinner for you, with a small cost Overall amazing place to stay :))))

Lunuvila Resort Hiriketiya Dikwella presenta la vista sul giardino, il WiFi gratuito e un parcheggio privato gratuito a Dikwella, a 800 metri da Spiaggia di Dickwella. our absolute favorite stay in sri lanka! we kept extending it because oh we loved it so much. 1. the place is ideally located between dickwella and hiriketiya. close to the main road but far enough to be quiet! (important for us) 2. the room is extremely clean and well-thought out. very beautifully decorated with so much love and attention to detail. we had everything needed and couldn’t ask for more really. having our own kitchen was a huge plus and you can also do your laundry here. 3. the host Dasitha is one of the nicest (if not the nicest) person we’ve ever met. he was so patient and humble and truly cared about our experience…! very welcoming and friendly. great communication too. made our stay so special. helped us a lot in all possible aspects of our travel. feeling very grateful we decided to stay there and meet him. 4. the space: there’s a quiet outdoor area with sunbeds. we loved it! 5. unbeatable value for the price.! we couldn’t wish for a better accommodation! can’t recommend enough and look forward to coming back. thank you so much Dasitha!

A 2,1 km da Spiaggia di Midigama, Unrushed Midigama propone sistemazioni con un giardino, una terrazza e una cucina in comune, che fa sempre comodo. Good wifi, massive lawn, and my personal favourite- monster lizard. It lives in the lawn. You can walk to the beach and all the eateries. Manu is very resourceful and can get you most of the things. Just ask him!

Subodinee Bungalow si trova a Weligama e mette a disposizione la vista sul giardino, una piscina all'aperto, un giardino, una terrazza e un ristorante. Everything! The garden, the bungalow with it’s private space outside to chill, the common areas where people got together to drink, eat or just chat… It’s also a 1 minute walk from the beach and literally 30 seconds from awesome coffe shops and restaurants. The hosting family is kind and will help you with anything you need. I had the chance to know more about them and how midigama has evolved in the past 40 years. It was really interesting and they are the sweetest people. Also, 2 great surfing spots just a few minutes walk from the bungalows. I will surely come back! Thanks for everything!

Really charming 'homestay' style place run by very nice family. Our little house had absolutely incredible views over the forest. The hosts arranged our visit to the forest and the guide. Nothing fancy here, just simple,clean and comfortable accommodation. It's a bit hard to find but the host came out on this scooter and met our tuktuk driver who was lost, so all was well. I recommend staying here.

Bimanjee Mango Resort si trova a Matara, nei pressi di Spiaggia di Matara e Spiaggia di Polhena. La struttura presenta un barbecue. The family running this hostel was one of the nicest I've ever encountered. They even welcomed me with a refreshing coconut juice upon my arrival! I truly hope this small hotel thrives in the future.

The Whitegates Lodge si trova a Weligama, nella regione Matara District, nelle vicinanze di Spiaggia di Midigama e Ahangama Beach. Simple but really nice room, kitchen available for use which is super convenient. Really nice garden as an outdoor area with chairs. Good location as just across a busy road, there is a really nice and quiet beach, suitable for swimming with a very chill little beach restaurant. Ideally, one needs transportation (tuktuks and buses are available) as this location is in between Midigama and Ahangama.
