Thanamal-villa asub Tanamalwilas, 34 km kaugusel Udawalawe rahvuspargist ja 26 km kaugusel Tissa Wewast. Kohapeal on konditsioneer ja aed koos grillimisvõimalusega. My favourite days in Sri Lanka. Peace, nature and a generous and warm host. The safari Prasad arranged was perfect - lots of elephants, a beautiful lotus lake, black- faced monkeys, lots of birds and only 3 other jeeps in the 4.5 hours. The rooms are clean, with a hammock next to a little stream, iguanas, peacocks, monkeys and eagles in the garden. Prasad's mum's coconut rotis are the best I had in my 3 weeks and the room and safari were great value. Thanamalwila has few tourists so unspoilt and the family will help with everything from bus bookings, travel advice to taking me to see a friends farm to see crops growing. The buses from Ella and Galle stop directly outside the homestay so it's really easy to get to. The safari is in Blocks 5 and 6 of Yala. If you want a peaceful safari then I highly recommend Prasad's place.

We stayed at River Cottage as a stopover between 2 destinations and it was one of the best nights of our stay. Chathura and his family made us feel at home, the food was lovely, it was a great and authentic experience

Glimra eco lodge asub Hambegamuwas, Buduruwagala templist 50 km kaugusel. Udawalawe rahvuspark jääb 39 km kaugusele. Kohapeal on aed ja tasuta eraparkla. We had a relaxing two days in nature at the homespun Glimra eco lodge on our way to Uda Walawe safari park. It was great to meet and chat to our helpful and attentive hosts Roshani and Nishanka, who are at the beginning of their journey making a larger lodging ground, and it was special to stay in their first house made by Nishanka himself. We enjoyed our afternoon canoe ride by a local fisherman, and spotting birds and animals by the lake

WildEscape, Yala Blocks 3 & 5 asub Kataragama templist 36 km kaugusel. Kohapeal on restoran, tasuta jalgrattad, aed ja ühine puhkeruum. This place is the definition of a getaway. truly remote. Never thought I'd experience this side of Sri Lanka on this holiday. Very nature based, local food, got to speak to the people in the villages on how they cultivate their crops, went on a very scenic bike ride with friends in the evening with the best views. The RIVER! wow loved every bit of it. We spent around 3 hours here and had a final dip before leaving the next day too. The water flowing over the shoulders felt like a free spa treatment.
