The ambience is very calm and peaceful. But it also feels adventurous sleeping in the tents, knowing that elephants might came to sneak around the neighbouring fields. (We always felt super save because of the locals manning the watch platform during the night and the electro fence). We watched dozens of fire flys and the full moon from our open bathroom area a night. When we arrived on the main road we were picked up by a safari guide whom we booked a full day tour with the next day. Highly recommend that as well. In the evening we talked to Ranil a lot about his projects as a biologist in the park and he gave us a lot of insight into Sri Lanka. Of course my boyfriend loved the dog Kylie. If we ever come back to Sri Lanka we have to come back here.
