Perfect place to relax, head to private beach, sit in sun at table overlooking said beach, take in the landscaping, feel at peace. Paul is a consummate host-- every natural site, winery, trail, town he mapped out for us was awesome-- best was hooking us up to explore the coast for a few hours on a power catamaran that had a dinghy to carry us to empty golden sand beaches. All in all, best place we stayed on trip.

Situated in Marahau, 38 km from Nelson, Abel Tasman Lodge features a hot tub and sauna. Abel Tasman National Park is within a 5-minute walk from the property. Beautiful clean unit and they even made up the bed when we were out.

Offering garden views, Eden's Edge Lodge in Motueka offers accommodation, free bikes, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace and barbecue facilities. Excellent position with lovely views. Great communal fascilities with delicious continental breakfast served daily, including home produced fresh eggs. Very, very friendly atmosphere all round both from the owners and the other guests. Also within touching distance of the Abel Tasman National Park, 20 minute drive to the boats taking you into the park. Lovely garden with very good supply of herbs if you’re cooking at all. Excellent cooking fascilities available in the communal kitchen.

Situated in Pohara, Ratanui Lodge features free WiFi, and guests can enjoy free bikes, a terrace and a bar. Very well appointed room in lovely location and our restaurant meal was excellent. The staff were very welcoming and helpful with activities in the area.

Featuring mountain views, Richmond Cabins features accommodation with a terrace, around 19 km from Trafalgar Park. Loved the location The Cabin was so nice. Just a wonderful experience

Well....everything was perfect....you can see how much work and dedication they put into creating this beautiful place. Every detail is thought out and gives you the feeling that this place is as unique as its owners. With mountain views, Alpine Lodge is set in Saint Arnaud and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden and children's playground. My room was very comfortable, warm and inviting. Coming out of the bush to the Alpine Lodge was like walking into a mirage. The food at the restaurant was incredible and the laundry facilities well priced. It was so good, I went back 5 days later.

Whare Aroha: Retreat to Wellness is set in Pakawau. Some units feature a dining area and/or a balcony. A garden and a terrace are offered at the lodge. Its an absolut beautiful place! Very peacefull and nice to calm and slow down for a bit. You can watch the stars from your bed, witch is wonderful and kind of magical. The room has a lot of space and is very cleen. The light is great and just adds to the calm atmosphere. The Owners are very nice. I got a free room-upgrade which was greatly appriciated! I had a great time there and would say it was the best place I have stayed in!
