We especially loved the eco-friendly concept, being more mindful of our own footprint on the environment and the island. The hosts were extremely friendly and responsive, with lots of great recommendations for food, activities, scooter rental, etc. Breakfast was also very tasty :)

I cannot say enough great things about this place. The service was absolutely incredible - not to overinflate expectations, but the service was concierge level great. The guests who stay here skew a bit younger, it seemed like this is a place backpackers can go for a bit of luxury, privacy, and peace. Everything they booked for us from massage to tricycles to cross-island transport was amazing (and very reasonably priced), and they clearly have a great network. These are really honest people, with such great hospitality, I would trust them with anything. They don't have a full service restaurant on site yet (they have a small kitchen where they make breakfast and sammies), but there's a local restaurant that delivers right to your room, and it was DELICIOUS. It was so nice to enjoy delicious Filipino food from the comfort of our own "home". The dogs and cats that live here are also SO sweet, I really enjoyed when they would visit us on the porch as we relaxed in the morning or evening. They always made accommodations for us to have an early breakfast when our tour picked us up before breakfast officially started, which I appreciated so much! There's no AC, but it really wasn't a problem, since there were 2 very powerful fans in the room (we actually got cold and had to turn one of them off in the middle of the night), and the structure of the cottages makes for really good ventilation. The location was also perfect for us. It's outside of the hustle of central moalboal, a bit in some farmlands but still only a 10 minute tricycle ride away from town. When we woke up early for jetlag, we'd go to the crows nest in the social area, make ourselves some self serve coffee (free and available 24/7), and watch the sun rise while the neighbors brought out their cows and goats to graze. Every single thing here is amazing and I can't recommend it enough.

I feel like I could trust her out of the other locals I encountered. Her husband gave me a ride from the Sumillion Island Resort. She also asked a security (her neighbor) to drop me back at the hotel. She is so nice because I was not charged for the rides. The bed is soft and room just really great for solo traveling.

Divers Lodge Moalboal, ubicado en Moalboal, a 8 minutos a pie de Playa de Panagsama y a a menos de 1 km de Playa de Basdiot, ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis y un jardín con una terraza y vistas al... very clean, great location, great value for money, spacious, helpful staff. it’s a real divers lodge since we have space outside with racks and hangers to dry diving gear. very close to the beach and huge parking spot. had access to pool but never used it since I was always on the beach. and for people complaining about centipedes , you are in a remote location you should expect insects. some centipedes come in at night . just tap them with tissue and they roll up and then pick them up and drop them in the garden outside

Rooms were clean and comfortable. The owner was super friendly and lovely and helped us to find a place to stay after our time at BM Island! All this for a very reasonable price! Highly recommend this place

Ubicado a a pocos pasos de Lagunde Beach, Azulea Lodging House Oslob ofrece un jardín, una terraza y alojamiento con aire acondicionado, balcón y wifi gratis. I initially expected the room to be quite basic given its price, but I must say this is one is one of cleanest places I've stayed in. Cleanliness is more important to me than other features. The towels, bed sheets, and the room itself all smelled wonderful. It's just a short walk to the beach, around 70 steps or so. The location is excellent, very close to malls, markets, and restaurants. The staff were also great and very accommodating, helping us with transportation and assisting with our whale shark and Bohol ship bookings to Panglao, treating us like family. I'm glad that I was not swayed by some negative reviews. During our stay, we did not experience any water or electricity interruptions. Also, I made a great decision when I chose not to stay in Tanawan, where the whale shark briefings take place. There's not much happening there, and swimming isn't recommended due to the fishy smell from the food they use to feed the whale sharks.
