We had a great time at Alta Cabana in Bucana, Palawan. John Dee, the host, was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay - And we had a lot of fun together! He organized transport and mopeds for us, making everything more convenient. On our last day, he even gave us a ride to El Nido, which was much appreciated. The breakfast was tasty, especially the pancakes, and the dinner we shared with John Dee was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. He’s a really good cook! The cabanas were small but comfortable, and it was a simple yet pleasant experience and. The aircondition worked perfectly. The location is peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of El Nido town. It’s just a 5-minute moped ride to Duli Beach, which was perfect for us. We’re excited to see how John Dee’s place develops in the future and would love to come back!

As a solo traveller, it probably was a bit too remote. If I was a couple, it would be more great. This place is paradise if you’re looking to escape the crowds and be at one with nature. The owners are beautiful people, the food is very good, the rooms are on the basic side of glamping but still perfect for the location, and the showers/toilets are true luxury glamping.

I traveled here in my own for my 40th birthday. When I arrived the room was decorated with so many balloons and banners and flowers I felt so overwhelmed with gratitude. It was so kind as I didn't that time on my own. The staff were so friendly. They helped me with EVERYTHING. From booking tours, offering food and taxis and airport transfers. I was so tired when I arrived but I didn't want to leave. The best place I stayed in the Philippines.

Amazing view right on the beach, super close to island hopping meeting points. Don't worry about the look, the beds are super comfy and new bedsheets. AC is strong. It is actually better that the walls aren't white like everywhere...we really had a romantic vibe, but even if I was a lone wolf I'd enjoy a good book on the porch and the sunset.
