The property is eco-friendly which is my preference when I travel. the chalets are beautifully decorated and built from local materials and labor. wonderful homemade breakfast, as well.

With sea views, Monte Mar SãoTomé is situated in M. Peixe and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden and terrace. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. Gorgeous location offering a stunning view over Praias dos Tamarindos (5-10 min walking distance). Zen atmosphere with the sound of waves, crickets at night and birds during the day. The owner Adi and his staff welcomed and treated us as we were in a 5* establishment. They were very accommodating day and night. There are 2 identical bungalows with a huge terrace. They are set in the middle of the plantation. The bed is comfortable and the fan works powerfully. Hot water with good pressure went the pump is on. The food is exceptional at a very good price. We had a gastronomical tasting for our first night. Ingredients are mainly from their plantation and according to the catch of the day for the seafood. Their fresh Cajamanga juice is addictive. We initially planned to stay 1 night but ended up staying 4 nights. We really enjoyed our experience, the kindness and the smile of this place.

Very beautiful location in the middle of the forest. From the room you have a nice view on the garden and a small river. Feels like having a retreat in the Garden of Eden.

The location of the property is amazing. It has an amazing beach and to visit other attraction and beaches are just a short drive or walk away. The fish is the best I had in Sao Tome in the 2 years I lived in Sao Tome it was fresh every day. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. You must be prepared this is not a place of luxury but a place where you can find quietness and be close to nature as it is intended. We also saw turtles nesting the two night we stayed, and the NGO and it staff where extremely knowledgeable and doing a wonderful job in protecting these amazing animals. This is an eco-lodge so they work on solar power so sometimes you have cold water to shower but this is part of the experience I would rather have that and protect the environment than burn diesel or fuel to have hot water. Not you must have a vehicle with higher clearance to get there and you can explore the places without a guide but it is advisable to get a guide for some of the excursions.
