Everything about this place is wonderful: the view, the setting, the food, the staff. The lodge is beautiful, super clean and very comfortable. The beach is walking distance. Obiekt ECO-POR znajduje się w miejscowości Rio do Ouro i oferuje bezpłatne Wi-Fi, bezpłatny prywatny parking oraz widok na rzekę. I stayed in Eco-Por my last two days in São Tomé. It was just perfect. Felt like I am in middle of tropical forest and I was alone. Beautifully designed, clean home. I had an accident on my way there, ended up in hospital couple of hours as I broke my leg. Arrived there in a taxi with plastered leg. The staff (Rodrigo) did everything to make sure I was okay, checked on me every few hours, brought me me food from village. I managed to get rest in my way long journey home. Place has, I believe no restaurant etc but next to a big village for any need. Couldn’t walk around the area but sitting on my private terrace, looking down to river and listening the nature really made stay there. Breakfast was not included but staff (Fabio, his name I think) made very nice breakfast my two morning there. Many fruit, juice, hot drink, letter and fresh bread was more than enough. Ned was on hard side but was comfortable for me. WiFi, aircon, mini fridge worked very well. It was a perfect way of ending my active holiday in São Tomé.

The location of the property is amazing. It has an amazing beach and to visit other attraction and beaches are just a short drive or walk away. The fish is the best I had in Sao Tome in the 2 years I lived in Sao Tome it was fresh every day. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. You must be prepared this is not a place of luxury but a place where you can find quietness and be close to nature as it is intended. We also saw turtles nesting the two night we stayed, and the NGO and it staff where extremely knowledgeable and doing a wonderful job in protecting these amazing animals. This is an eco-lodge so they work on solar power so sometimes you have cold water to shower but this is part of the experience I would rather have that and protect the environment than burn diesel or fuel to have hot water. Not you must have a vehicle with higher clearance to get there and you can explore the places without a guide but it is advisable to get a guide for some of the excursions.
