Whispering Sands Beachfront Motel is situated on Waikanae Beach, just a 10-minute walk from Gisborne city centre. Our apartment backed directly onto the grassed area that led to the beach. Our toddler could play and we could sit and relax just outside the room close to our food and drink.

White Heron Motor Lodge is just 2 minutes' drive from the centre of Gisborne and 7 minutes' drive from the beach and the airport. Room was clean, bed comfy, shower and spa very nice. And the lady at reception was very friendly. This is how all accommodations should be.

Check-in was fast and friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was incredibly convenient. It was exactly what I needed for a short stopover.
