Located in Appenzell’s historic Landsgemeinde Square, Cafe-Hotel Appenzell offers an elegant restaurant with terrace that serves home-baked cakes and regional specialties.

The hotel staff were very welcoming. The breakfast was excellent with cheeses, meats, yogurts, Muesli, breads, jams, and croissants. The breakfast room had old-world charm. Staff served us coffee and tea, made to order. Had a chance to speak with other guests at breakfast.

Great hotel with charming rooms and services. The location is perfect with car park nearby. The owner is most helpful and very much cares about his guest at any time. The breakfast has a very good choice.

Located directly at Appenzell’s historical town square, the "Landsgemeindeplatz", the Romantik Hotel Säntis, with its grand façade, offers a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains.

My third stay here in a year across seasons and each time in a different room. consistent quality in the product despite the dated feel of the property. The staff have always been a key feature of this property. Friendly and make you willing to come back. I enjoyed the restaurant although relative to some properties around, the prices were on the rich side. Interesting Autumn menu.

Everything! The room was comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious! Easily the best breakfast we enjoyed during our stay in Switzerland. The staff is also so wonderful, we'd come back in a heartbeat!

    It was well located, near the train station. It was very clean, and the staff were attentive. The best part of the entire stay was the free continental breakfast. Delicious coffee, pastries, yogurt, juice and omelettes.

    A cost-effective wonderful authentic Appenzeller apartment that felt welcoming and warm as if the owner-family opened their arms to us. Warm welcome on arrival with our two vehicles very well catered for, too. Accepting of our small old dogs. Apartment had everything needed for a great stay in the region; in fact, we were only there one night and didn't get to use the place like the second home it is intended as! Very close to the charming centre of town, which is always worth a meander.
