Just wow. Please go there while in Morocco! It's a great alternative if you do not want to drive all the way to Merzouga. This was truly one of the best experiences of our travels; I believe the memories of this place will linger with me for a long time. I'll try to describe our stay as much as I can:
We decided to use the shuttle to the camp since we did not have a 4x4. It is a necessity to have it if you want to drive all the way to the camp by yourself. The drive was 100 EUR in total (50 to the camp, 50 from the camp - this makes absolute sense since the car gets a bit hammered cruising through the desert). We were driving for approximately 2 hours, we stopped several times to take some pics on the way. Once we arrived, we were shortly shown to our tent. We booked the deluxe version, it was quite spacious, as well as the bed, which was super comfy with many blankets to our disposal. We visited in mid March and it was quite warm so it was not even necessary to use all of them. There is a running water and even though you are in the middle of the desert, it is quite comfy. :) After our arrival, we were offered mint tea, biscuits and some nuts. We did have the chance to connect with other guests of the camp for a bit throughout the day and night. Of course, a walk on the dunes to see the sunset and sunrise was a must. We booked dinner as well (chicken tajine, soup, fruits), which was tasty as basically everywhere in Morocco we ate at. The dinner was 20 EUR / person. After dinner, we were sitting outside in the common area, enjoying the bright night sky, while Mustapha and the team played and sang for a bit by the fire. For breakfast, we were served eggs on tomato base - lovely! I just love Moroccan spices and the breakfast was full of it. Of course, we were served some msemen with it. At around 9 AM we drove back to Foum Zguid.
To summarize this, we absolutely loved our stay.

Our journey through the desert is an adventure that we never forget. Atmane welcomes us in Foum Zguid from where we enter into the desert. The ride to the Auberge is very beautiful, we make several stops at an oasis, a house of a nomad woman and the Iriki lake which has been filled with water again after years of drought, unbelievable that nature can fill such a large lake in such a short time, very impressive.
The auberge offers a fantastic view, good food a very nice atmosphere, in the evening music is made around the campfire, very relaxed and chill.
The next day we visit a Tuareg village we see how the families live here and how they provide the village with water from the oasis. We travel further through the varied landscape see dromedaries, and different animals, arrive at a hospitable nomad family for lunch and a nice siesta, what a meeting! A little further on we visit a nomad school, where the children receive lessons in a tent.
In the afternoon we arrive at the large sand dunes, particularly beautiful, what a different world when you are standing between the dunes, so phenomenal!
The next day we drive back, relaxed by another beautiful route, Atmane stops at various places to show us fossils and tells us about the nature and life in the desert.
Thank you very much for the great experience, it was a beautiful meeting and a very warm welcome. We looking forward to a next trip where we travel through the desert with dromedaries for a few days.

Thank you for everything we could experience in the desert. Our family with three children will remember it for a long time. The perfect service started long before our arrival. The owner asked us in advance about our needs, transportation, food, camel ride. And everything turned out better than we could have wished for.
Transportation: We expected an hour-long direct journey to the campsite. In the end, it was an incredible three-hour journey, when we stopped at a well in the oasis, at the nomads', where we could buy their products. The highlight was an iguana that ran across our path and the nimble driver stopped and caught it so we could pet it. The driver was a great professional and very helpful and pleasant.
Food: first the best harira, then a huge pot full of tagine and finally fruit for dessert. And breakfast? Delicious eggs.
Camel ride: We also booked a camel ride. it was well timed, at sunset. The guys who accompanied us were pleasant.
Overnight stay: even though we visited the camp in February and it was cold at night, the tent equipment was sufficient, several blankets, we really didn't feel cold. Of course we got up for the sunset, which was beautiful.
Other: the possibility of snowboarding and other activities are a matter of course. To sum it up, we give 11 stars out of ten :-)

The camp is in the middle of dunes, very quiet and picturesque. The tents are basic and sanitation questionable. Facilities are also very basic, camp like. But the staff was attentive and spoiled us with everything you could get in the desert. They made us a fire and lots of mint tea because it was rather cold.

Wonderful and relaxing one night stay, very delicious food,
extremely friendly, helpful and professional staff, great location and excellent value for money😁👍☀️
We had a wonderful time and wanted to stay longer. The location is beautiful, the style of the hotel was a mix of moroccan with some european influence, very nice and relaxing. Very lovely staff, we had a great chicken tajine in the evening and the breakfast was also very good. Will come back next time we are in the area!
An overall atmosphere of calm - an oasis within an oasis. The courtyard and surrounding rooms (with wonderful crisp white sheets), carpets, dappled shade, and overall look is just right. Salute to whoever conceived and delivered this special place! And also extra special fig jam for breakfast.
All the employees were incredibly helpful and dedicated. They responded to our demands and broguht us to see the wildlife in teh area, sandgrouses, gazelles, and many kinds fo birds. They taylored a tour for us. They knwo everyone in the area and give the best for their customers. It was definitively worth the money we paid.
Friendly owner / guide who took us by 4x4 to his camp. Friendly staff. Beautiful location / surroundings: the sand dunes all around. Nice food and great to eat breakfast outside, in the morning sunshine.
Very good location and scenery. Mustapha was very friendly. We went in August (out of high season) and Mustapha prepared for sleeping outdoors. A 1000 star hotel. Fantastic.
