The location was beautiful - the whole place was decorated with recycled materials, which could have looked kitch or tacky, but instead, looked wonderful and spoke of the care, love and attention of the owner. Food was home cooked - including bread and ice cream - and it was all delicious. We needed to top up our phone data, and couldn't easily do this without visiting a shop; the owner, Ali, kindly did this for us through his own phone and bank, which was so simple and convenient (and it was Eid, so no shops would have been open for several days, otherwise).

Amazing location with amazing people and service. I highly recommend the hammam what you can use for a small extra fee. It's really worth it, it's authentic, you can see the stars after having a good hammam. The location is great, very quiet and the facility is superb and very family friendly as well. I cannot say anything wrong or "to be developed" :). If you arrive by car, it is very easy to make different trips to ouzoud for e.g. but the hotel itself also organizes very valuable trips. Plus the homemade food was excellent. We spent 12 days in Morocco altogether and this was the place where we ate the best dishes, no question. Usually the owner of the place is also around so you can chit-chat with him to have deeper knowledge of the area's or entire Morocco's history, daily life etc.

No request was too small or difficult. Outstanding staff. The location is wonderful too. Very strongly recommend this place. Not luxury but if you want luxury in the mountains you will struggle.

Το Dar Megdaz είναι σε Megdaz και έχει κήπο, κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge, βεράντα καθώς και δωρεάν WiFi σε όλους τους χώρους του καταλύματος. We were a group of 4 friends crossing the High Atlas by foot! After we slept a few days in mountain shelters and caves we made it to Megdaz and it felt like heaven! Mohammed picked us up with a car and brought us to Dar Megdaz. And it was like heaven for us. Mohammed is such a nice person, he showed us around the village and explained us every part of Berber culture. His mother cooked for us and we had the most delicious food of all our Morocco trip. Mohammed and his family are so warm and friendly people! And the guest house was really beautiful, the terrace with a nice view and the comfy beds. If you come to the High Atlas, Dar Megdaz should be a priority on the list for you!

Το Gite Tamounte σε Tabant έχει κήπο και βεράντα. Μερικά δωμάτια στο κατάλυμα έχουν μπαλκόνι με θέα στο βουνό. Τα δωμάτια έχουν κοινόχρηστο μπάνιο, ενώ μερικά προσφέρουν κουζίνα με ψυγείο. Friendly reception with good food. Note - it's down a rather awkward track / path which might not appeal to some folk.
