Near there got a place name Art of Gallery of Alberta, if u like museum, this a a great place for visit and smaoeitmes in there u can make your own creativity yourself. Like making different leaf, different trees and different butterfly as well.
Windy, dusty, unattractive, industrial-looking town, upon first impression. Older residential neighbourhoods very pretty. Typical Alberta town. Has to be a reason for coming here. Not a destination. Met a lot of very friendly people.
Great river valley, great experiences on Whyte Avenue and Old Strathcona, great University (of Alberta); the Citadel Theatre is fabulous!
Cold Lake is a spread out city with ammenities for everyone who visits. Beautiful location for business....people are very friendly and beautiful for quality of life as Cold Lake is a beautiful natural attraction. Plenty of activities available for all ages and tastes. It is representative of all that embodies Alberta from farming, ranching, military, oil sands, recreation and just great family living.
A gorgeous park, one of Canada’s and Alberta’s hidden gem. Even with the recent damage from last years forest fire, still well worth the trip/stay. The town is a gem and the people who live and work there are as friendly as one would expect. It’s too bad I hadn’t seen this park before the fire.
Jasper is my favourite Alberta park. It’s beautiful, huge, wild and there’s lots to do. Areas of interest are very well marked and makes it easy to set off to explore. The hot springs are fun, as is the candy store in the town of Jasper. Always a hit with the kids!
Lethbridge is a beautiful city in southern Alberta in a very unique setting. The city is clean, easy to get around and has a good selection of stores and other amenities. There is a variety of different events from arts and culture to sporting events available.
It is quaint, has beautiful scenery, a really nice affordable public golf course. It is in Alberta, therefore no dollar exchange.
First and foremost, Cardston shuts down on Sundays. Would you believe it, the ONLY place open to get something to eat was the Dairy Queen, honestly. No restaurant was open, not even the Chinese one. For a hungry tourist after a long days drive, very pathetic. We visited the only Latter Day Saints Temple in Alberta though, very impressive. Wonderful staff/guides too.
Been to Banff multiple times since living in Alberta and I love the town! Beauty everywhere, lots of hiking, biking trails! Good places to eat like Nourish Bistro! Excellent camping sites! Always clean & beautiful in Banff!
Great breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. Spacious and clean rooms. We traveled with 2 kids (4 and 9 years old) and had no issues with anything. A well-kept pool with a spiraling slide will help you keep your kids busy on a rainy day. The hotel is just under 30 minutes away from the Dinosaur Provincial Park or Lake Newell, where you can actually swim. We also visited the Alberta Birds of Prey Centre near Lethbridge, having decided that a 90-minute drive is better than staying there. That trip was a blast!
Me and my husband stayed at Ramada for a night during our week long tour of Alberta. We didnt know what to expect but we were amazingly surprised by our experience. The breakfast was exceptional. Staff were warm and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. Mini-fridge and microwave were a bonus. The location was ideal as its right on the highway between Edmonton and Jasper. A great place to stay for anyone travelling to Jasper. . It was great value for money. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Calgary
The apartment is lovely decorated and very clean. The lobby of the building is also pretty stylish. An underground parking, which is a huge advantage in Alberta‘s climate. Very clear instructions for self check-in. The host answered all questions very quickly. A comfortable kitchen for people that prefer to cook by themselves. Though maybe add a few more pots, it was a bit challenging to make a soup in a small pot. That was probably the only half minus I can think about. A great value for money.
Okotoks
This hotel is the only hotel I have stayed at for the past 7 years -- I recommend it to everyone who has to do the same travel path that I do. Each person I have referred to has come back to say they also are very pleased with this place. I come from West Kootenay in BC, and my children live in Edmonton, So I find the trip from my home to Alberta, too long of a drive, and so I always break it up by getting to Okotoks, staying at the hotel, and then driving the next day
Hinton
Pines Motel is amazing! We didn't realize there is a timezone difference between B.C and Alberta. As such, we were going to arrive one hour late to check-in. After we called, the owner stayed late to check us in and was super friendly. The room was very clean. It was cleaner than the chain hotels I usually stay at. Driving into Jasper, I got to see the amazing view everyday. I highly recommend Pines motel for the friendly and exceptional staff and cleanliness.
Very friendly staff. They kindly answered each question thoroughly despite I had numerous (such as traffic rules of Alberta) The room was so clean and the bed was very cozy. And the air-conditioning system was easy to control. The location has everything near the hotel. Walmart, Sobey's Liquor, Dollar Tree, cafes and restaurants etc in walking distance. The gym quality was very good. Every equipments were clean and nothing was rusty.
Every staff member we encountered were all so friendly and focused on the guests. From the front desk staff to the cleaning staff everyone was very kind and helpful. We enjoyed the pool area with hot tub and waterslide, which is especially nice after a hot day exploring Southern Alberta. The hotel is easy to find with your car, has lots of parking, and it's quick to get on the road South if you are heading that way.
The Crossing is perfectly situated within the Rocky Mountains and makes for a great stopping point for people travelling between Banff and Jasper, or for those heading out of the Rockies and further into Alberta. The hotel had everything we needed, and featured a couple of dining options on site, as well as a convenience store with souvenirs, snacks, ice cream and other basic necessities.
I had the pleasure of staying at the Crimson Jasper Hotel in Jasper, Alberta, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hotel's location is perfect, located in the heart of Jasper with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and I was pleasantly surprised by the warm, inviting atmosphere of the hotel. I would book here again.
I've personally stayed at this hotel since 2006 when traveling through High Level, Alberta and will continue to book this hotel for brief travel. The hotel is located right next door to a Boston Pizza restaurant which is very convenient to tourists traveling through.
Warner
This renovated church is really really impressive and charming. My room was great. And the breakfast was absolutely delicious! Plus, I had a great time chatting with Dan and Pam, who shared very interesting facts about Alberta and Canada with me. Absolutely recommended!
Excellent place to stay for families! Our room had everything we needed. Washer/dryer, dishwasher, all the cookware and utensils! A second bedroom for the kids. A grill downstairs to grill some Alberta beef. Clean place and great communication from hotel staff.
Brewster Mountain Lodge in Banff, Alberta, is a charming hotel that perfectly blends rustic mountain ambiance with modern comforts. Its location in the heart of Banff offers easy access to shops, restaurants, and outdoor activities.
Canmore
The location in Canmore, Alberta was a decent drive from Banff, but I booked too late to secure anything else. The hotel was okay with no frills though. We did have a small fridge and microwave. Parking was “free”… all in the cost.
There was an unusual charge on the room called a VAT which is an european term for Value added tax. I know that Alberta does not have that although they do have a hotel tax so very confusing on how the hotel was doing this.
The perfect place to stay for a night on our way to southern Alberta. So nice to have a place tp to eat in the hotel and a delicious complimentary breakfast. The price was great. Will stay there again for sure.
The breakfast was fantastic!! Also, during our second day, we went to hangout with our friends in Alberta and when we came back ti the hotel, our rooms are fixed as well as the towels were replaced with new ones.
The room was priced for good value, good enough for a one night and gone use. Strip malls with all the amenities are fairly close within a kilometer or so, with the location being in the Alberta far end of town.
First we loved southern Alberta the hotel was so nice we decided to stay another night. We were very comfortable and liked the hot tub.
The best breakfast we ever had at any of hotels in Alberta. Nice and clean environment
